Woodside Cottage, Corgarff, Aberdeenshire

Woodside Cottage is a converted and renovated 4 bedroom detached house in Cairngorm National Park. Located only 5 miles from the Lecht Ski Resort and surrounded by beautiful mountains and hiking routes. Corgarff is the ideal location to experience the Scottish Highlands by sightseeing, hiking, skiing, exploring the whisky trail, fishing, bird watching or just relaxing by the fire with a good book and a wee dram. STL Licence no: AS00581F The space The original Woodside Cottage was built in 1880 as a one bedroom, one living room stone cottage. We have since extended the building to provide a further three bedrooms, kitchen, and living space. Woodside sleeps 8 people maximum, and has two bathrooms with bath and shower. We have two living spaces, one complete with original fireplace. We have made use of as many local materials as possible in the refurbishment, preserving the original Cairngorm Granite stonework, and local, sustainable wood for the external cladding. Our open plan kitchen/dining area features large double-glazed windows, offering views of the nearby woods and highland moorland. Our second living room/snug retains the original stone fireplace with wood-burning fire, book library, board games, puzzles & Bluetooth speaker. We also have Wi-Fi and a smart TV with all the usual apps- Netflix, BBC Iplayer etc. Guest access Guests will have full access to the house and outside areas. Other things to note Wifi is available , 4G signal is reasonable here for most major UK phone networks, and we have 100+ freeview channels on the TV. We have parking space on the property for two or three cars, but there is a carpark very close by that can accommodate any extra vehicles. We do not allow smoking inside the cottage, but for those who wish to smoke outside, please ensure all cigarette butts are disposed of.
