Nestled in country South Australia, just 50 minutes east of the Adelaide CBD, lies a unique country homestead cottage on 150 acres. ‘Broken Gum’ lies where 3 beautiful regions meet, the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula and the Murray Lands. The space On 150 acres of rolling tree studded countryside, is our beautiful 3 bedroom, limestone and recycled timber loft homestead, which is a fully self contained Guest House with stand alone solar power and rainwater. The open plan downstairs kitchen, dining and relaxation area, boasts a slow combustion plus wood stove, great for cooking delicious meals in winter and providing piping hot water. The LP gas stove is good for cooking during the summer months. The upstairs open area is a beautiful place for relaxing and has spectacular views. It can also sleep 2 people. Guest access Our guests enjoy the use of the whole house and facilities just for themselves. The 150 acres of bushland and open paddock are available for freely moving around, collecting eggs, great for bushwalking, nature walks, birdwatching and distant views. Other things to note While Broken Gum is in a bush setting, three great regions meet at our front gate. Fleurieu Peninsula to the South West has quaint country towns, vineyards and amazing coastline. The Adelaide Hills abound with treats for visitors including the renowned German settler town of Hahndorf. And the Murray Lands holds great places for enjoying the mighty Murray River. Within 20 - 75 minute drives you can find great restaurants, cafes, wine regions, antique shops and stunning coastlines with great fishing and surfing beaches.
