The house is named after the scientist who cloned Dolly the sheep here on this street The space We’d like you to feel like you are staying in your own private hotel, with fresh linen, lashings of hot water & an area to chill out in before hitting the city. This bright, Victorian townhouse with oblique seaviews from the top 2 floors is on a quiet road yet within minutes of buzzing West Street (for clubs), the seafront's nightlife & the famous shopping and restaurant highlights of the North Laine and The Lanes. The pier is a short stroll away. Likewise Churchill Sq for the main shops in Brighton. The Lanes for their quirky independent shops are also a few mins walk. Lovingly restored to it's Victorian glory, you couldn't find a more central location - Brighton station is two minutes' walk away. There is fast wifi throughout. If driving, we advise using the 24 hour car parks very nearby as you won't need the car once you arrive! Having just refurbished the house we have created a large, fantastic social space with an exposed brick feature wall & a beautiful hand crafted wooden table seating 16. If you book and need to cancel, regardless of our cancellation policy we will give a full refund if we obtain a similar replacement booking for those dates. In addition in the kitchen there is a large range induction cooker, a pink Smeg fridge and a washing machine, dishwasher and M/W. There are two bathrooms both with roll-top baths & overhead showers. There’s speedy wifi throughout the house & beautiful wardrobes made from shutters reclaimed from French chateaux. We also love the living room with its stripped wooden floors, feature fireplace, twin chandeliers, Farrow & Ball colours & sumptuous coving (restored by the same craftsman who worked on the Harry Potter movies). There is also a flat screen smart TV (Netflix, amazon prime etc) - perfect for vegging out the morning after the night before! We also hope you love our "getting ready" pamper area for those preparing to hit the town with its twin Hollywood-style illuminated dressing room mirrors and stylish drift wood make-up table. The house is suitable for respectful hen groups, family gatherings, friend reunions & for those with children & infants. A travel cot & highchair are available. We cannot accommodate stags. Because the house is so close to the Brighton Conference Centre it’s often booked for corporate & training days as well as work away-days. Please ask for rates for regular stays. Also, if you have any spare time then please check my guidebook for recommendations of where to eat out, pubs, parking, cab numbers & interesting & fun activities in the city & nearby. Guest access The whole house is exclusively yours during your stay. One small cupboard under the stairs, however, is used by the cleaners, containing cleaning products etc and is locked Other things to note There are 14 zip & link hotel-style beds (that can be doubles or singles) with excellent quality mattresses arranged over three floors including four stunning bedrooms that can be arranged either as doubles or singles. In addition, there’s a double sofa bed in the large living room. The fuse box is in the cupboard in the hallway on the ground floor of the house . The stop clock for the water & gas meter is also in here. The ironing board is kept upstairs in one of the bedroom wardrobes along with the iron. The high chair is a clip together one kept in the cupboard in the hallway. There is very small yard garden & a special pamper area with Hollywood-style mirrors for guests to apply make up & get ready for their evening out in style. All towels, tea towels and linens are supplied. Please bring your own beach towels. There are large black wheelie bins at either end of the street for all your rubbish. Please note when you stay at this property you agree to pay the £260 cleaning fee and this is for Harrison-Whites to provide you with this service. Airbnb collect this payment from you and we remit this on your behalf to Harrison-Whites. Don’t worry. It’s not an extra cost and is included in the price of your stay and is not an add on. It’s just something we have to point out for VAT purposes.
