2 minutes off I-94 Exit 157 and adjacent to Bismarck State College, this charming 1BR walk-out studio suite with private entry & patio opens onto a park-like oasis. We hope you will love the simple elegance and charm of the cottage-style design. White beams with creme walls and colorful accents make this a welcoming retreat. In a mid-century modern neighborhood it's centrally located just minutes to the Capitol, downtown, YMCA, restaurants, Civic Center, Zoo, Missouri R., malls, and hospitals. -— CLEANING/ DISINFECTING PROTOCOL: Because of the current situation, we take great pride in providing our Guests with a safe, clean suite. We use commercial disinfectant as our first cleaning step. Specially, we use E23 to sanitize frequently touched surfaces, the same type of commercial sanitizer used by the local YMCA and Bismarck public schools for disinfecting properties. Beyond that, we pride ourselves on making the suite “sparkling clean” as attested by our many guest reviews. Rest assured we are mindful of the need to protect guests as well as ourselves. In addition, we have self checkin and a private guest entrance and patio to assure social distancing. -Approximately 360 sq. ft. newly renovated lower-level guest suite with private entrance and patio. This is a 1BR studio suite with one very spacious room that has a queen-size bed and twin-size sofa sleeper, TV, kitchenette (sink is in adjacent bathroom), and table/desk. Full south facing windows in this main room allow ample sunlight. A locked door separates the guest suite from the rest of the house. -The kitchenette is equipped with ¾ size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, water heater for tea, 2-burner cook top, kitchen utensils and dishes, coffee, tea, light breakfast first day of stay (e.g., typically granola bars, fruit etc.) (sink located in adjacent bathroom.) There is a small table for eating or use as desk in the kitchenette area. -Private bathroom with shower and makeup mirror. -Queen bed has traditional inner spring mattress. The sofa bed pulls open into a twin size bed. -Full length dressing mirror in hall. -Iron and full size ironing board. -Spacious closets in both bedrooms, with the largest wardrobe closet in the first bedroom having inside lighting. -No parties are allowed. -The apartment has a private patio for you with privacy fence by entrance, overlooking a beautiful park-like setting. -From the private guest entry, exterior sidewalk and steps lead up and around house to the main floor and off-street parking. Sidewalk and steps are well lit. -Unfortunately, because this is a lower level walk-out, the exterior steps means the space is not accessible for disabled individuals. -No smoking or vaping allowed inside or outside anywhere on premises. - Please remember that this suite has a private entrance. If you leave the door open, you may allow flying insects like flies or mosquitos into the suite. Always make sure you keep the screen door closed to avoid this. FOR YOUR INFORMATION: This same property is also separately listed on AirBNB as a 2 bedroom that accommodates 5 guests. (A second bedroom, which remains locked if the space is rented as a 1 BR, does have a new king-size bed.) Self check-in: Because of the current need for social distancing, we are having guests self check-in. We would appreciate it if you send a message when you know your ETA, so we can have the lights on for you. The private door to the suite has an electronic digital combination lock. When you receive the checkin instructions, you will receive the 4 digit combination that allows you to open the lock. You have exclusive and private use of the entire studio guest suite and the exterior adjacent private patio area. You have a private entry door to the guest suite. The guest suite is connected to the rest of the house by a locked interior door. My wife and I live in the rest of the house. We will not intrude on your privacy, but if asked, we are happy to answer questions or to provide recommendations to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If there is anything you need, we will provide it if possible. This picturesque, quiet Highland Acres neighborhood, nestled in the rolling tree covered hills above the historic Missouri River and comprised of iconic 1960’s architecture, is soon to be submitted as a designated national historic district in the City of Bismarck. You can park your car in the front driveway behind the white SUV. Bismarck State College is located just minutes away. The City bus system stops at the College and connects throughout the city. Coffee shops and restaurants are located a 5-10 minute drive away. Uber and taxi service available. We have a neighbor, who was a professional musician, who sometimes plays beautiful recorded music in his backyard in the afternoon and early evening, which we can hear and enjoy in our back yard. Also, if there is a sporting event going on at the college, we can sometimes hear the crowd.
