There are over 120 miles of paved trails in this area, connecting Waterloo to several surrounding communities. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Museums, amphitheater, convention center, library, shopping, and much more within walking distance. There is a dance studio and a bicycle shop right downstairs. The bike shop has a small section of locally made gifts, art, & greeting cards. Lots of events going on much of the time. We can get you a list of the happenings during your stay. Easy access to University of Northern Iowa and John Deere. We have a parking lot where you can park for free. The public transit stops a couple blocks from here and goes to several areas of Waterloo and Cedar Falls. You can rent bicycles from Waterloo Bicycle Works, downstairs in the same building as the apartment, and ride the 120+ miles of paved recreational trails that run throughout Waterloo and the Cedar Valley. Access is right beside the building. There are several taxi services and vehicle rental establishments as well.
