It is located in the west end of the traditional Prines village, full of a special kind oak trees, with a unique healthy climate, near beach and Rethymno city. Our guests will enjoy walking in the area, jogging, cycling, having their lunch and dinner in the two very nice restaurants in the village or in the other villages around LOTUS villa, bird-watching, swimming in the Cretan sea, relaxing on the sandy beach, snorkeling, shopping in the afternoon in the picturesque, historical Rethymno city , walking it's long promenade near the sea, having unforgettable dinner in Old Harbor area in front of the old lighthouse or visiting the Fortezza Castle in the sunset, exploring the famous gorges of the area , visiting the very interesting paleontological museum, studying in the calmness of the pleasant library of the University of Crete ( 3km from LOTUS villa), visiting the archaeological and historical places of the area (the ancient Minoan cemetery of Armeni-6 km from LOTUS) and the other innumerable activities in the nature. The beach is 2,5 km and Rethymno town in 5km (5' driving) from LOTUS. Our guests will come to Chania airport (65 km) or Heraklion airport (80 km) and will drive in National Road from Chania to Rethymno or from Heraklion to Rethymno. Also they could travel by ship from Athens (ANEK Lines and MINOAN Lines) to Souda Harbor (55 km from LOTUS) or to Heraklion Harbor (85 km from LOTUS). Also they could come from Santorini island to Heraklion and then to LOTUS, or from Milos island by ship to Heraklion, or from Gytheio (Peloponissos) to Kastelli Kissamou by ship and then to Prines. Prines village is situated 5km from Rethymno, on the Palea Ethiki Odos Chanion-Rethimnou.
