On the 2nd floor there is the large roof terrace with sun loungers, seating areas and a barbecue area. The house is in an excellent location just 80 m from the beach promenade and the kilometer-long Baltic beach of Laboe. The fine sandy beach with shallow water zones offers children an ideal bathing paradise. It is also just a few minutes' walk to the Laboe harbor and to the seawater indoor pool. The splendid view of Kiel Fjord will delight you on your vacation. You can safely store your bicycles with us. An in-house parking space for your car and a bicycle rental are provided. We rent all year round! Laboe The idyllic Baltic Sea resort of Laboe (approx. 5500 inhabitants) is picturesquely located at the exit of the Kiel Fjord on the eastern shore. The former fishing village has developed into a popular holiday and seaside resort. Laboe is an old place and was first mentioned in 1240. The name Laboe derives from the Slavic "Lubodne", which means "Swan place". And even today, the swan is the heraldic animal of Laboe. The long, fine sandy beach slopes very gently towards the fjord, making it particularly suitable for families with small children. With the Kiel Fjord, one of the busiest waterways in the world, on the doorstep, "beach life" offers a special attraction for "sea people" who can watch the passing ships extensively. The panorama of Laboe is clearly dominated by the world-famous 85 m high marine memorial. This memorial commemorates the fate of all those who have remained at sea and is intended to call for peaceful seafaring on the high seas. From above, the visitor has a beautiful view over the fjord and the Baltic Sea in clear weather. At the foot of the memorial, the submarine u 995 has been located as a technical museum for several years. The movie "Das Boot" takes place on a submarine, which, like u 995, belongs to the famous class vii c. A visit to the U995 offers an impressive insight into the indescribable confinement in which the submarine men had to live for months. The Kiel Fjord is considered the sailing mecca ("Kiel Week") par excellence. In the immediate vicinity are the Danish islands of Langeland and Aero, the so-called "Danish South Sea". At the dining table you can enjoy your breakfast or a home-cooked dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. TV, Wi-Fi and Hi-Fi system are of course also available. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. A hairdryer and cosmetic mirror are also available.
