The space Beauvoir Court Stables stands within the grounds of Beauvoir Court, a historic mediaeval barn conversion, once part of the ancient Cerne Abbey. With all of the accommodation on the ground floor, there is a well-appointed and light filled open-plan sitting room, dining area and a modern, well-equipped kitchen. The sophisticated bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and there is a stylish bathroom with separate shower enclosure. In order to access the property, guests have the wonderful treat of walking through the owners' stunning and beautifully designed garden with its water feature and well-tended attractive planting, guests can view the garden when staying at Beauvoir Court Stables, and enjoy exceptional views and the peaceful setting. The private terrace is the perfect place for an al fresco meal whilst enjoying the wonderful valley views, and depending on the time of year you could be afforded a special view of the ancient naked figure sculpted into the chalk hillside above Cerne Abbas, known as the Cerne Giant. There are excellent walks and cycle paths right from the front door along the river and in to the centre of this quaint and pretty village, and the surrounding valley, hills and fields offer beautiful countryside and outstanding views and are well worth exploring. With three pubs and a village store just a short stroll away, your special holiday retreat is ideally situated for a relaxing break. The location is also ideal for exploring all parts of Dorset, with the country town of Dorchester just a 15-minute drive away offering a large selection of shops, restaurants, museums, a Roman Townhouse, and two cinemas. Sherborne with its two castles, Abbey and good selection of shops and cafes is a pretty 20-minute drive away, and Beaminster and Bridport are also within easy reach. The Jurassic Coast is just a pleasant cycle or drive away, so the choice for coastal, town, village or countryside activities is endless, and you will be spoilt for choice.
