The kitchen is well stocked offering all basic tools as well as spices and seasonings you may wish to have at your disposal. A gas grill is provided on the covered porch. Coffee, teas, water, fruit, eggs, yogurt, and granola are offered complimentary. The living room offers a full couch. DVDs are available. Roku TV is available allowing you to access all of your favorite streaming services. A bluetooth enabled stereo can be connected from your personal devices. Reliable Wifi is provided. Board games and cards provided. Brand new ductless AC unit installed in June of 2020; cools the whole cabin very efficiently and is very quiet. Serves as a backup heat source as well. The bedroom is tucked around a corner for privacy. A variety of pillows are provided to ensure your sleeping comfort. Linens are provided. The bathroom offers a shower with two seats and two shower heads. An iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are provided as well as towels. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are available. The screened porch is always a highlight for visitors. Enjoy dinner on the porch. Grill a lovely dinner or just enjoy a glass of wine while watching a lovely sunset over the pond and runway. An outdoor fire pit is also provided along with wood. Long term stays of 20+ days can gain access to washer/dryer located on the property. Enjoy the outdoors as well. You can fly into the airport and taxi right to the house. It's an airpark! Need a car? Car rental delivery is available. Don't have a plane but would like to fly? The airport offers scenic flights. Do not worry about airport noise however. The airport is rather quiet and most traffic is during the day. The airplanes will not be a noise disturbance to your relaxation. The airport offers a delicious breakfast and lunch option Wednesday-Sunday from 7 AM - 3 PM that you can walk to! We are located approximately 5 miles from Lake Wallenpaupack's public access. Lake Wallenpaupack is a large lake that offers a variety of water and hiking experiences. You can rent a boat or jet ski and enjoy some water fun. Have a boat? Feel free to bring it with you! The cabin offers ample parking and ease of in and out with trailers. The cabin is equidistant from both Elk Mountain and Big Bear ski mountains. Both are approximately 40 mins away. National award winning Woodloch Springs Spa is just 25 minutes away. Downtown Honesdale and Hawley offer wonderful main street shopping experiences. Stroll these all American downtown locations, both located within 4 miles, and explore unique boutiques, coffee cafes, and antique shops. Numerous local breweries include Irving Cliff (a hiking experience as well), Here and Now, and the Wallenpaupack Brewing Company. The area is rich with diverse experiences that are easily accessible from the cabin. The primary mode of transportation in the area is by car. You can also access this property by plane or helicopter. The runway is approximately 3,000 feet so aircraft size is limited. Airport traffic is primarily during the day and limited to popular times such as the weekend. Noise is not a huge factor at all. And the airport is quiet in the evenings and overnight. Mountain biking is popular in the area as well. We live nearby and our young chocolate lab dog, Bentley, may stop by to say hello periodically. He is as friendly as they come and just happy to say hello! He truly believes the sole purpose for people visiting the area is to talk to him!
