Jecks Cottage is your perfect home away from home on 1000sqm cottage garden overlooking the beach. Accommodating 6 people this is a home that offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Sit back and watch the sunset over the ocean or the whales at play in the bay from your wine deck. The space Accommodating 6 people there are 2 separate bedrooms featuring Queen beds, and another 2 areas with a set of bunk beds in each. Jecks also features a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, bathroom plus separate shower and toilet facilities, and an inviting lounge/dining with views across the cottage garden. *****An electric log fire is located in the lounge/ Dining area and an electric heater is located in both master bedrooms **** Guest access A 20 second walk will have you on the beach. Turn left or turn right. Turn left and a leisurely 5 minute stroll along the ocean boardwalk is the river mouth, where you can fish on the Jetty or grab a cuppa at Colourpatch cafe whilst watching the children play on the beautifully landscaped foreshore. (Which offers free wifi) Turn right and you'll reach the picturesque historic township of Flinders Bay. Take a swim in one of the secluded beaches along the way. It's spectacular. Just in general spend time exploring the attractions in town Make sure you keep an eye out for the local Pelicans and Dolphins that abound in the river. If you're an early bird, don't miss the sunrise over the river mouth. As you comb the beach you will enjoy the abundant sea and bird life that make their home along this coast line. You may even be lucky enough to spot the whales during their migration. A perfect spot for this is the strategically placed seat located at the “Landing Place”. Check out the stone monument whilst there, and absorb the full history of this iconic area. Alternate Free Wifi locations are at Blackwood river cafe and Deckchair Cafe (We purposely don't offer wifi at the house as we want you to switch off everything and enjoy what nature has to offer without the distractions!!) Other things to note To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions. Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance. Bond is payable at the same time as the balance amount. The bond will be refunded within 14 days in full subject to the above conditions being met.
