SPECTACULAR COASTAL WALKING. Surrounded by natures beauty and the sound of the sea. The larger of two attached cottages, a cosy, light filled and "happy" feeling cottage, 10 mins walk to village - 2 shops, 1 restaurant, 2 cafes Pleasant 15 minute walk to local small beach Surfing Porto Covo,Praia de Odeceixe,Vila Nova de Milfontes Day-trip to the hills - Monchique/Silves, Barragem de Santa Clara. A wonderful, warm space to relax. The space One of two attached traditional 'monte Alentejana' houses. While renovating we kept to the traditional style, simple and rustic, reflecting its calm and natural surroundings. The building is in open fields and has large spacious gardens with lawn to back and front of both houses. The neighbours have a smaller house and garden, which accommodates 4 guests. You are surrounded by birdsong and the sound of the ocean crashing onto the cliffs. There are two double bedrooms (simple wooden doors) which are bathed in glorious morning sunlight. Bedroom 1 has two large windows looking over the front garden and 2 has a large window and glassed double doors going out into the front garden. The mezzanine, accessed from the Sitting room area by home-made wooden steps has a double bed which is an ideal cosy area for teenagers (: The sitting/dining/kitchen area is a large open-plan space with a central wood burner ( I provide wood for colder months for a small fee) A BBQ is provided for the more enthusiastic chef! (please be aware of bush-fires when using!) At night, enjoy the crystal clear night skies full of stars. If your lucky, during summer time you might catch the amazing show of falling stars as they leave a trail along the skies (we counted 30 once) We have a small local beach in walking distance and other small 'secret' beaches for the more adventurous, reached by a rope! Guest access The house has its own, gated entrance into the large private fenced garden area with parking a few metres away from the house. Other things to note I have inherited a stray kitten who came into my garden. She will be around and most children delight in her company. Her name is Willow, and she is very sweet. During your stay there may be guests next door.
