Great mid-century hideaway in the heart of the charming historic Hood River heights neighborhood. Comfortable, well appointed, and full of light, Casa di Lucia is a perfect getaway for solo travelers, couples, friends, or families. Conveniently located for a quick and easy walk to parks, bakeries, restaurants, trails, and all that the historic heights has to offer, and only 15 minutes walk through the best neighborhoods in Hood River to downtown restaurants, shopping, and other activities. Other things to note Casa di Lucia is licensed by the City of Hood River as a short-term-rental (lic# 631), and as such, your reservation is safe from being cancelled or cut short by city enforcement of unlicensed accommodations. Short Term Rental License and permit to collect Transient Room Tax are posted at the house. There are two beds at Casa di Lucia, a queen and a Double, and the house is really best suited for parties of four guests or fewer. The sleeping arrangements work out great for couples, two couples, or for families of four where the kids can share a bed. For families with three kids, there is a sofa in the living room that could be used as a place for one person to sleep, but please note that it is not a fold-out, and guests will need to provide their own bedding for the fifth person. Casa di Lucia is a great historic home that has been lovingly restored in a period/mid-century fashion, and there are a couple of things that we like to make guests aware of... *The bathtub/shower is a vintage clawfoot, and those with limited mobility may find this challenging. *The kitchen stove/oven is a 1930's gas model, and at times may produce a slight odor- this is typical of vintage gas appliances, and may be nostalgic for those guests who grew up in vintage homes. *WiFi typically works well, however, it can be spotty at times... it's Hood River. *A/C is provided by mobile units, and while they work well for keeping the bedrooms comfortable to sleep in during all but the most extreme heat waves, they do not cool the whole house. As can be seen by our Airbnb ratings, guests love Casa di Lucia, and so many come back again and again... we're sure that you'll love this house as well!
