THE EXPERIENCE Spacious home with updated appliances and beautiful hardwood floors is tastefully furnished with thoughtful touches to ensure comfort and convenience during your stay. From walking on the heated floors in the bathroom to chilling by the flat screen to enjoying your music on the sonos system to relaxing on the deck - the house is great for a family or group of friends to enjoy! We offer the highest speed wifi available, OG Nintendo gaming, many smart home features including bluetooth speakers with Alexa, and apple TV for all technology needs. Very family friendly - we have plenty of kids books, wooden blocks, legos, toddler toys & even a foosball table to keep the youngin's busy. As well as pack n' play, high chair, booster seat & step stool. The kitchen is stocked with all manner of gadgets and plenty of dishes and cooking essentials (oils, vinegars, spices, asian ingredients, etc.). THE LAYOUT Three story home with a nice flat and large driveway that gets shoveled daily when snowing. 2 car garage with extra firewood and racks to store your skis/beach gear. Bottom floor: a large rec room with a huge comfy seating area and for tv watching space, as well as foosball table and 2 bunks for extra sleeping coverage. Laundry room with washer/dryer and laundry soaps on this floor as well. Main floor: a large open living room/dining room/kitchen with extra high ceilings & plenty of sunlight, a wood fireplace, and access to the main deck (with dining table, weber grill, and lounging area). One bathroom & two bedrooms with spacious closets are on this floor - one with a full bed and bunk bed, the other with a queen bed and private patio. The top floor includes an open loft area for lounging, as well as a large desk/printer to be used as an office as you like. A large bathroom with jacuzzi tub & shower, heated floor, and 2 sinks is on this floor. While the neighborhood is quiet & peacful, we're located just 10 min to downtown Truckee & 25 min to Squaw/Alpine and Northstar ski resorts. Only 4 minutes from Tahoe Donner Ski Resort & 10 minutes to Donner Lake beach club. Driveway snow removal ensures it is cleared after natural snow fall reaches 4 inches. Most ploughing occurs in the overnight hours. If you need early check-in, or late check-out, please let us know. We are always happy to accommodate this as long as our previous & next guest schedule allows! Please note there is there is a mandatory Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) of 10% for all vacation homes in Truckee for stays less than 30 days. In addition, the City of Truckee has implemented a 2% Truckee Tourism Business Improvement District (TTBID) tax. This is included in your nightly price and you will not be charged additional taxes. HOUSE RULES: - No smoking on the property - No pets - No parties or events - Quiet hours for the community are 10PM - 6AM. No music or loud conversations outdoors (or audible through open doors and windows) between these hours. - No ski/ snowboard equipment or boots inside main house Rule number one: Please relax and enjoy your stay at our home! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or to discuss special situations with your rental. No parties, and no more than 13 people (including visitors) in the house at any time. The house is on a quiet street, and the neighbors will complain and/or call the police if there is a large party or it is noisy during quiet hours (10PM-6AM) We take great pride in our chalet, and while enjoying your stay we wish for you to treat it and our belongings with respect.
