Other things to note A few things to know before you book: • I have a friendly cat. He's a large tabby who spends most of his time outdoors, but he does come in to eat, sleep and say hello. • Heating: During the winter I keep the house at a comfortable 18–20°C during the day. The heating is switched off overnight, but you'll have a warm duvet and extra blankets if you need them. • During the day: I'm a writer and often work from local libraries or cafés, so you'll sometimes have the house to yourself. If you're working remotely or simply want a quiet place to read, I'm happy to recommend local libraries—including the wonderful British Library at King's Cross—as well as cafés with free Wi-Fi. • Excellent location: Within a few minutes' walk you'll find supermarkets, independent cafés, restaurants, pubs, buses and Underground stations, making it easy to reach all parts of London.
