VILLA FLORINA Originally built in 1890, situated in the heart of Finikia, one of Santorini’s most beautiful traditional villages. 3 small houses, two courtyards, two terraces. Ideal for families/friends. Calm, car free, restaurants & amazing sunsets. You need to walk ca. 100m into Finikia to access the house. There are no cars, only donkeys (used to carry suitcases, garbage etc). And no tourist shops, only a couple of restaurants. It feels like you are in the Middle Ages - and at the same time it is only 10 minutes to walk to Oia, where you will find plenty of shops, restaurants – and tourists who gather to see the sunset… There are at least four lovely restaurants in the village: one at 50 meters from the house (Lefkes), the second at 100m (Meze meze), a third one just at the entrance of the village, along the main road (Santorini Mou), and the last one is part of a hotel along the main road (Finikia's place - Memories). MORE ABOUT VILLA FLORINA The property consists of three houses, two courtyards, two terraces. In addition, there is a laundry in an additional room (which is a 4th house, but so far not renovated). One of the houses is a normal house, the other two (three) are "canavas" houses - which is the traditional architectural style of Santorini: cool, spacious and very charming houses, built right into the mountain. The terraces overlook the ocean, and from May to August you can enjoy the beautiful sunset, which Oia is so famous for. (Outside the summer season you will have to go to Oia to see it.) "ALEXANDER”-HOUSE, 55 m2 Bedroom (with double bed), living room (with wooden benches which can also be used for beds), kitchenette (with stove, fireplace and refrigerator), bathroom, air-condition, private courtyard. The grey and white painted surfaces on the roof belong also to the house - the roof can be used as a terrace, but be careful. "ANNABELLE"-house, 55 m2 Large living room/kitchen (with three beds), bedroom (with double bed), bathroom. Stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, air-condition. "CORDELIA"-house, CA 15 m2 Has fridge, double bed, small bathroom, and fans. The washing-room, CA 15 m2 So far not renovated. Washing machine, drying rack for laundry etc. Sheets, duvet covers, towels etc. are included. And of course there are plenty of terrace chairs, small tables, deck chairs. Guest access Before arriving to Finikia it is needed that you call or send an e-mail to us informing us about the time of your arrival in Finikia parking, so that we can be waiting for you in every check-in in order to welcome you and escort you the Villa Florina. We can arrange with a local agent (upon your request) to be pick you up from the airport or port by a minibus with an additional charge. In this case you have to contact us, at least two days before your arrival, stating the place and the time of your arrival in Santorini. Other things to note Located in the NW side of Santorini Finikia has an oustanding view over vineyards and stone threshing fields, Baxedes beach, the Aegean Sea and it's islands ,Ios, Sikinos, and Folegandros. Finikia's unique silence is due to the fact that the use of any cars and vehicle is prohibited, so as the village's sence of traditionality remains unaffected. Pets are not allowed in the house, but some sweet local cat might pay you a visit on the main terrace or in the courtyard. Smoking inside the houses is not allowed.
