Central Whitby Apartment, Cosy Couples Retreat

Description

Marjie’s Place is a cosy 2nd-floor apartment in the heart of Whitby, just a 2-minute stroll from the West Cliff and its stunning sea views. The harbour, town centre, and historic Church Street are all within easy walking distance. Perfect for couples, we also welcome an infant under 2 and one small dog. Enjoy Wi-Fi, Netflix, kitchen essentials, bed linen, and towels—all provided. Settle in with a warm welcome of hot chocolate and locally baked biscuits. The space Marjie’s Place is a charming and cosy retreat, perfect for couples looking to enjoy all that Whitby has to offer. The apartment features a comfortable double bedroom with ensuite (including a modern walk-in shower), a spacious living room, and a separate, well-equipped kitchen with a dining area. You'll also have access to lockable bike storage at the rear of the property — great if you're bringing bikes to explore the local area. At the back of the building is a fire escape with breathtaking views over to Whitby Abbey. It's a magical spot to watch the New Year’s fireworks or enjoy the festive displays throughout the year — with uninterrupted views right from your doorstep. Located on a quiet residential road, the apartment is still just a short walk from Whitby’s beach, harbour, shops, pubs, and restaurants, giving you the best of both worlds — peace and convenience. Parking is easy with free on-street permit parking outside and on nearby streets. We provide scratch card permits for the duration of your stay. There’s also a long-stay pay & display car park just a 5-minute walk away. We welcome one small dog and provide a few thoughtful touches: a dog bed, blanket, bowl, poo bags, and a few tasty treats to help them settle in. We just kindly ask that dogs stay off the bed and don’t use the fire escape as a toilet — thank you for understanding! Travelling with a little one? We’re happy to provide a travel cot and high chair for an infant under 2 — just let us know in advance. We want you to feel completely at home at Marjie’s Place, and we’re always on hand to help if you need anything during your stay! Guest access Parking in Whitby can be in high demand, especially during the summer months, but we’ve got you covered! We provide a free parking permit (scratch card) for one vehicle, valid for the entire duration of your stay. You can park on the street right outside the flat or in the surrounding W zone streets, which normally have a 3-hour disc limit — the permit allows you to park there 24/7 without restrictions. There’s also a long-stay car park on the West Cliff, just a 2-minute walk away. If parking there, we recommend exiting near the church for the quickest route to the flat. Other things to note The flat is a cosy retreat, perfect for two people. If you’re travelling with a baby, we’re happy to welcome you and can provide a travel cot and high chair for your little one. Please note that the flat is on the second floor, and there isn’t space to leave a pushchair downstairs, so keep this in mind when planning your stay.
