Things to Know There is window air-conditioning in each bedroom and loft and one in the living room. There is a narrow ladder/stairs to the loft where the two twin beds are located. Guest access You'll enter using a Schlage electronic lock. Your 10-digit code will be sent in your check-in email. Enter the code, wait for the button to flash green (3-5 seconds), then rotate the deadbolt away from the doorframe to unlock. Standard check-in is 4pm. During peak season (Memorial Day through Labor Day and holidays), early check-in is not available. Outside peak season, early check-in or late checkout may be available for a fee - you'll receive an email or SMS if either option is offered to you. Standard checkout is 10am, unless you've purchased or been offered a late checkout. If you're locked out, there's a lockbox on the exterior wall near the deck entrance with an emergency key. Call for the lockbox code if you need it. Other things to note This home is dog-friendly and includes four window air conditioning units (living room, both bedrooms, and loft) - seasonal use only, typically Memorial Day through Labor Day. Beach gear is provided seasonally: four beach chairs, a beach umbrella, kids' beach toys, and a Tommy Bahama beach caddy. Please hose down the sand and return everything to the bin before you leave. A gas grill is available on the patio. Please clean it after each use and turn off the propane. There's a backup propane tank on-site. The home includes a baby gate in the washer/dryer closet off the living room. A hose is available on the outside of the building - please shut off the nozzle at the spigot when finished. Weekly lawn care is provided by a local service; the day can vary based on weather and their schedule. Snow removal (driveway plowing and path shoveling) is provided by a local contractor within 24 hours of a snowstorm. A shovel and ice melt are supplied. Power outages are not uncommon during inclement weather, especially snowstorms. A local team monitors outages and can provide updates during your stay. Trip insurance is advisable if severe weather might affect your plans. Along the coast in Southern Maine, insects and pests are part of the natural environment. Monthly pest control is maintained on-site, but their presence is an integral part of Maine's coastal ecosystem. Depending on the season, you may encounter mosquitoes, black flies, ticks, sand fleas, spiders, beetles, ants, no-see-ums, beach flies, and deer flies. Please bring bug spray for outdoor activities. WiFi can be spotty along the coast in Southern Maine, and some areas have no cell service regardless of your network provider. WiFi may go out intermittently, especially during inclement weather. If it does, wait an hour or until the rain or snow passes - it usually comes back. If not, try rebooting the modem/router. There are four smart TVs in the home (living room, master bedroom, bedroom 2, and loft), all with streaming options. You can log in with your own accounts and personal credentials. Your reservation includes a damage waiver covering up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the property or its contents.
