Guest suite in Daly City

Ground floor garden suite. Children, solo travelers and groups up to 4 welcome. Full bath and kitchen, 2 queen-sized beds in one large room, patio & garden. No cleaning fee. 2 blocks to BART subway direct to SFO airport & San Francisco. The space Your Garden Suite is on the ground floor of 1922 Craftsman’s cottage with direct entrance to the garden and I live upstairs. Suite includes a full bath, full kitchen and two luxury queen-sized beds in one large great room. This suite was my art studio for over 20 years – lots of creative vibes and original artwork. Studio was part of a renovation in the late 80s which included a modern, earthquake-resistant foundation and soundproofing. There are no steps as you access your private space by walking down the driveway and through the garden gate. I do not charge a cleaning fee because I feel this is a way to hide the real cost of the accommodation. Hotels don’t charge cleaning fees and neither do I. There is a modest security deposit which will not affect considerate guests. I am both a host and Airbnb guest. When I am at the end of a long day of sightseeing, I want a really comfortable bed, peace and quiet, a place to put my feet up, space to spread out my luggage, food preparation facilities so I can save a bit on meals, an ambiance that reflects the unique personality of my host and great transportation connections. And this is what I am offering my guests. Wake to singing birds, ready for a full day of adventure. You will have a full-size refrigerator, gas stove with oven, microwave, toaster, small counter-top convection oven, coffeemaker, electric tea kettle, coffee and tea, Britta filtered water, cookware, dishes, glassware and basic condiments for food preparation. I can provide a barbeque with briquettes on request. You will have a large closet, hairdryer and basic toiletries. Towels and bedding are hotel quality. You will be greeted with your choice of California wine (white or red) or Pellegrino mineral water. No cable TV, but many local channels and TV/DVD is provided with my favorite San Francisco disaster films – explore SF by day and watch Godzilla destroy Chinatown and the Golden Gate Bridge by night! Guest access You will have 24 hour access to your private suite. Other things to note No smoking indoors, no additional visitors, no parties, no loud noise My neighborhood has street parking by permit only because I am only a 6 minute walk to the BART train station. Even with a permit finding parking on the street is nearly impossible in the evening. I can reserve a parking spot in my driveway for an additional $10/night with advance notice of at least 2 days. Check-in time is flexible and is the time that you and I have decided and confirmed in our communications. Airbnb has an error in their system that tells guests that flexible check-in time is at 3 PM. So just ignore any Airbnb email changing our confirmed check-in time to 3 PM. A local 13% TOT (Transient Occupancy Tax like that for hotels) is now being charged in my community. This tax will show in what you are required to pay Airbnb for a reservation.
