Bay Cottage

Our cosy cottage is perfectly situated in the centre of vibrant Kingsbridge, voted the 5th most relaxing town in the UK, highly rated in best places to staycation and RHS Gold Britain in Bloom winners. A stones throw from eclectic Fore Street it is a quiet and secluded cottage, along a secret passage. Pubs, galleries, restaurants, shops and even a cinema, crabbing quays, sail boats, SUP a brand new skatepark and ferries to Salcombe within walking distance. Dogs maybe accepted on request. The space Bay Tree Cottage is a terraced 1890s cottage with bags of character. With a sunny cottage garden with access from lounge for the morning sun and a patio at the end of the garden for the last of the evening rays. With garden furniture for relaxed al-fresco dining. Also perfect for cosy winter stays with plentiful hot water for warm baths after muddy walks. A super warm wood burner, alongside central heating for a maximum hygge stay. The cottage is accessed on foot via a private path from Fore Street or the Backways from the park. Downstairs: A roomy kitchen with plenty of room to cook and eat, with an extending table. A wine fridge, dishwasher and cupboards well stocked with all essential cooking equipment. Light and airy lounge with comfortable sofas, Smart TV with Netflix and loads of board games. There is a futon sofa bed in the lounge for the occasional crash over guest, but you will need to bring some bedding for them. Upstairs: Large bright master bedroom with kingsize memory foam bed and far reaching views over the park and the heart of Kingsbridge. Second bedroom contains a fixed wooden triple bunk. The bottom bed is a true double size. Please note we are committed to an eco friendly stay, towels and linen are line dried (so not necessarily fluffy-but clean planet friendly) we also use refillable Smol cleaning products where possible. The bathroom has a shower over a cast iron bath. An outhouse opposite contains the washing machine and is also perfect for storing sandy beach stuff or muddy walking gear. There is also a rotary clothes line. We have Vodafone Full Fibre Wifi 250 mbps perfect for remote work. Please note-we provide clean bed linen and bath towels, tea towels and dishcloths, but guests should bring their own beach towels. Guest access All areas of the the property are available. Other things to note Please note there is no direct parking for the cottage, as there is no vehicle access. Free limited and unrestricted parking is available within a 5/10 mins walk. Including: Duncombe Street 10-4pm, 2 hours stay. Duncombe Street pay n display, from one hour up to 24 hours (£10.50) Both a few mins walk.
