Listen to the waves crashing from this beautiful home nestled among the California Redwoods. Less than 1.5 miles (5 min) to Black Point Beach. Entire home has hardwood floors, natural lighting, skylights, and lights that can be dimmed for whatever your mood. Snippets of the ocean can be viewed between the trees, which also block most of the wind. Hot tub available, and washer/dryer. Kitchen has a two burner stove, oven, full refrigerator, and dishwasher. Handicapped accessible. This living space is above the garage, separate from the main house. For handicapped individuals there is an elevator with access through the garage, and a bridge that connects to the hot tub. Entrance to the bathroom is through the bedroom. The entire apartment is yours during your stay. The hot tub is always available, and the only window overlooking the hot tub has the curtains pulled at all times allowing you privacy. An elevator is also available if you have lots of luggage and/or food to bring in, or if the stairs are difficult for you to negotiate. My husband and I live in the main house full-time, with private entrances. Your privacy will be respected! We are available to provide information about the area, help with anything you might have forgotten, and recommend hikes, shopping locations, etc. Our neighborhood is quiet and in the trees, and only a couple of the neighbors are here full-time. The nearest town is 10-15 minutes north and provides grocery stores, coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, gift shops and other shopping are available. There are three community centers with pools, tennis courts, and half basketball courts you can use, as well as miles of hiking trails through the trees and along the bluff overlooking the ocean. Best road to The Sea Ranch is Highway 1. I would suggest arriving during daylight hours if possible to fully enjoy the view on the trip here! It is possible to reach us by bus (search Mendocino transit maps and schedules). A couple guests have reported getting mildly car sick on the drive here so plan accordingly. Due to COVID-19 extra efforts are being made to keep the Redwoods Treehouse as germ-free as possible. Lysol and/or Clorox wipes are used on every knob, handle, TV remote, and other surfaces in an effort to keep you healthy during your visit. And we have plenty of toilet paper, too!
