The Olive Terrace is a peaceful retreat in Benabbio, a quiet hill village where time still moves slowly. A place for breakfast in the sun, evenings with a view, and the simple pleasure of slowing down in an authentic corner of Tuscany. The space The Olive Terrace is a private apartment within a 16th-century Tuscan villa in Benabbio, a small hill village surrounded by olive groves, chestnut woods and the quiet landscape of the Val di Lima. It is also part of La Terrazza degli Ulivi, our small family-run agriturismo. Around the villa and the village, we take care of olive trees, bees, fruit trees and seasonal produce. Depending on the time of year, guests may have the chance to taste or buy our olive oil, honey, homemade preserves or other local products. The apartment has been restored in a simple traditional style, with antique furniture, a comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a living area with sofa bed, a small kitchenette and a cosy fireplace for the colder months. The heart of the home is the private terrace: a peaceful place to enjoy breakfast, read, watch the light over the valley or simply relax after a day exploring the area. Guests can also enjoy the villa garden, shared with the host family, among vines, olive trees and seasonal flowers. Benabbio is a real Tuscan village with a quiet local rhythm. A traditional pizzeria/restaurant is within walking distance, and the village atmosphere is ideal for guests looking for calm, views and authenticity rather than a busy tourist resort. Guest access Guests have private access to the whole apartment and to the panoramic terrace, which is for their exclusive use. The apartment is on one level and has no internal stairs. The villa garden is shared with the host family, who live upstairs, and guests are welcome to enjoy it respectfully. The easiest parking option is the nearby public parking area, a short walk from the villa entrance. Laundry is available on request for an extra fee, as access is managed by the host. Baby equipment can also be provided on request. Other things to note The Olive Terrace is in a quiet hill village, surrounded by nature and local life. It is ideal for guests looking for calm and authenticity rather than a busy tourist resort. Farm products and small agriturismo experiences depend on the season and on our availability, so they are not guaranteed every day. Please ask us during your stay if you are interested in olive oil, honey, preserves or learning more about our farm. The road up to the village is a normal two-way mountain road. It may feel narrow if you are used to city driving, but guests usually find it manageable with clear arrival instructions, which we send before check-in. The village church bells can be heard from the apartment and terrace. Many guests feel they are part of the local atmosphere, but light sleepers may want to consider this. There is no air conditioning. The old stone villa usually stays naturally cooler in summer, and fans are available on request. Mosquito nets are fitted on doors and windows. The kitchenette is simple and suitable for breakfast and light meals rather than elaborate cooking. Pets are welcome, up to 2 medium-sized pets.
