This is a SHARED one-room studio apartment room with one king sized bed and two single beds. Priced accordingly, as well as in accordance with fluctuations of locale pricing at specific timeframes. We always choose rates that are well under comparable stay-rates in this area. It is only available for private booking when we are away, based on our traveling arrangements. We absolutely love to host you either way and have an especially delightful time of it to share our place with you. We are easy going and wish to make your stay joyful and joyous. We are here to help!! It is one floor above ground floor level. There are 3 lifts, but it is also an easy walk up one set of stairs. Has big windows for fresh air, air conditioning for warmer weather, and good comfortable heat in winter. The kitchen has a microwave, two stove top burners, a refrigerator, and a small freezer. Dishes, cookware, and eating utensils provided. Warm friendly camaraderie provided. It is an easy fit for solo travelers, but also works for a set of 2 if you are ok with a small shared space for having a safe inexpensive stay in one of Manhattan’a very best areas!!! We’ve met lovely people and have enjoyed the brief exchanges of personal stories when guests wish to converse. We are adaptable to your style: whether you want to be focused on your plans and kept to yourself or whether you want to talk a bit when we overlap in the unit. We are busy a lot of the time, but always friendly and easy to get along with. ~~~~~~~~ The unit is a studio, which has a king sized bed and two “single” bed arrangements. The singles are— 1) mattress atop a box spring 2) two twin foam mattresses one atop the other. You’ll have the choice of hard or soft bed. The twins are soft and the king is harder style mattress. Both beds are incredibly comfortable, great quality. We the tenant(s) will also be there unless otherwise noted on certain traveling dates or unless we have last minute plans — as we often do. Perfect for anyone looking for an inexpensive, safe, ideal location while staying in New York City. ~~~~~ Without direct street noise. SO many shops and eateries surrounding the building. Elevator and stairway (only one level up from ground). Kitchen has refrigerator/freezer, stove top, microwave, cabinets and utensils and basic cooking ware. Strong reliable WiFi connection. Guest access Laundry room in basement. Other things to note We would love to have you stay and will approve your inquiry if: 1). All guests MUST be non-smokers. This is due to asthma of a tenant who stays here too. Strong smoke smell on clothing of a smoker tends to make her grow ill. This non-smoker only policy is also because the management has an extremely strict no-smoking policy, in which no one is allowed to smoke in the building not even in the unit. The smell penetrates to other units. Therefore the management has an extremely strict non-smoking policy. They fine heavily for any infractions. Tenants smell and report and management responds. So we prefer to book non-smokers only for both of these reasons. 2) Airbnb prior positive feedback / respectful and good communication. 3) Expressed understanding when you send an inquiry that you’ll be booking a studio room that will be shared. It is to provide an inexpensive place to sleep, shower, relax, and get ready to enjoy the city. Looking forward to meeting you!
