Sorry for the inconvenience. Guest access Guests have shared access to the balcony, lounge, front porch, entrance hall, dining room, kitchen and rooftop terrace. The third floor (directly above the guest floor) is reserved for the family and is off-limits to guests, but you can continue climbing the stairs past the third floor to reach the rooftop terrace. During your stay I (Jili) might not be present to greet you when you arrive, but another member of the family will always be here to welcome you and cater to your needs throughout your stay. Other things to note We have two long-term tenant families staying here in other parts of the house. One of the families lives in a separate section of the guest floor and the other lives on the 1st floor (the level below the guest floor). The property has two entrances. The lower (south) gate close to Borbari Main Road is to be used by guests, while the upper (north) gate that opens out to Hills View Village is generally reserved for the family, but may be used in emergencies or for guests that have difficulty in climbing stairs. We have two roofed garages for car/motorcycle parking just inside the lower gate of the property and if required there is additional space for parking just outside the upper gate in Hills View Village. Our area is subject to load shedding, which means that the electricity supply sometimes gets cut for several minutes (rarely for longer than an hour) before returning again. There can be a couple of these short-lived power cuts each day. Don't worry about this though, as your bedroom is equipped with a rechargeable, battery-powered table fan and an LED lantern, which will together provide lighting and air circulation for up to 4 hours during power outages. You can even charge your mobile device directly from the table fan if required. Getting to the property: We are located in Magzine, which is between Borbari and Pathar Quarry (well before Narengi). If you're coming from Six Mile, first get onto VIP road from near the flyover, then drive for about 4 kilometres along VIP road until you reach Borbari centre. Now go straight through Borbari centre and continue on for another little bit until you come to Pratiksha Hospital (Nursing Home). Now, keep going straight past Pratiksha hospital until you come to the large Easy Mart, which will be on the opposite side of the road. Go about 100 metres (approx) past the Easy Mart departmental store (mini-mart) until you come to a gap in the divider. You need to turn right at the gap in the divider here and cut straight across VIP road onto Borbari Main Road (the entrance to the road is directly across from the gap in the divider). Now, go about 150 metres down along Borbari Main road until you come to a tall white apartment block on your left hand side. Directly across the road from this apartment block (on your right hand side) there is an unpaved laneway climbing gently uphill away from the main road. We are the house with the yellow (and black) gate at the dead end of this laneway. Walk or drive up to the gate at the top of the lane and someone will let you in. You can also let yourself inside the gate and then climb up the concrete steps on your right hand side to reach the guest floor (2nd floor) of the property (with the metal grille entrance) where you'll be staying. If these instructions are confusing please give me a call once you reach the Easy Mart and I will try to assist you over the phone.
