The space The Hydeaway is a very unique old property and all of our carefully designed interior compliments all the buildings quirks. With its wooden floors, original sash windows, plaster walls, and vintage radiators. We have added bright colours, beautiful tiling, brass gold accents and hand chosen ceramics, along with vintage furniture and beautiful linens to create a beautiful boho feel.. With our background in hospitality and interior design we have turned our much loved home into hopefully much more than just a place to stay but a place to experience! Upon entering through a private street entrance from the bustle of The Brighton Laines you have a welcoming hallway with hooks to hang your coats and here you may store your luggage. You enter up the stair case to the first floor you have The master suite, shower room and kitchen with a drawbridge that lets you cross to a larger than expected outside roof terrace. The second double loft room is accessed via a very tiny windy small staircase! This is a very small staircase and sadly for this reason we cannot host children under the age of 12 years and very elderly due to the nature of the stairs in this property. This room is perfect for an extra couple to stay, friends sharing or the teen pad. Please bare in mind this is a central city apartment in the heart of one of the most vibrant streets in Brighton and while we have created a cosy restful and luxury space to Hyde-away in and some noise is to be expected. All the sounds of the city can be heard from the coffee shop below to the seagulls and the hustle and bustle from the street below Generally things go quite in this area around 11pm. It is a very friendly neighbourhood and embodies the true nature of our lovely city Brighton… Other things to note Travelling by Car- Due to our central location there is no parking at our property You are able to unload your bags and luggage right outside the door by use of a loading bay and bag drop but your car will need to be parked elsewhere.. The Hydeaway has use of a private gated parking space just a 10 minute walk away at an extra cost of £25 per day. Please contact us to book and pay well in advance of your stay. We can advise on other cheaper alternative parking at a more affordable rate just 15-20 minute walk away in a residential area charged at the local pay by app or display rate. There is a multi storey long stay car park just a 1 minute walk away charged at the local rate. You will be advised of maps and directions before your stay or contact me in advance to plan your trip. Travelling by Train- Brighton mainline station is only a 5 min down hill walk away. Travelling by Bike- Travelling with bikes you can keep up to 2 bikes in the private hallway of the property. Travelling on Foot- Lots of our lovely local Brighton residents choose to stay and Hydeaway in their wonderful home town. We host couples for romantic nights away and celebrating special occasions so feel free to walk, bag drop and check in for a night or two..x
