Room & Bike - near beach & national park (D14)

Thai Mueang Resort between Phuket and Khao Lak is located on a closed road, only a few minutes bike ride to the national park entrance, and 2 min. walk from 15 km. of amazing, empty beach, where you will feel alone in the world like Robinson Crusoe! You will have the national park behind you, sand under your feet, the sun over your head, and nothing between you and India at the horizon. There are no islands and thus no noisy boats, jet skis, divers or parasols to disturb your imagination. The space Thai Mueang Resort is a family run resort that offers Thai standard accommodation, mostly used by local Thais during holidays. We have just opened up for online bookings via AirBnB this summer. You should consider this as probably a 1 star resort, but we are upgrading rooms step by step. Use this as basis for your exploration of this wonderful, non-touristy area. It is an unmistakable Thai experience: quiet, relaxed, low key, family friendly, only Thai TV channels, and you are surrounded by nature, that you can explore on your bike or motorbike. We offer free bikes for all our guests, so you can for example make a day trip for a refreshing swim in Ton Prai or Lampi (Lumpee) waterfalls (8-10 km) and explore the Thai Mueang area that is well suited for biking. We have 4 bungalows and 1 ordinary room (this one) for booking in AirBnB, free bikes for all our AirBnB guests, and a free pick up option at Khok Kloy bus station for guests staying more than 7 days. This room does not have Instant booking as we have decided we want to upgrade the room before we rent it out. If you are a family with 1-2 children that can sleep in same bed, that is fine at no extra cost. Guest access Secluded resort area, fishing lake, 24 hours service Other things to note Bikes and a Thai style grill are included in the price. You can rent fishing rods for 100 baht/day, and fish in the small lake a few meters from your room. Grill your fish on your porch or on the beach – if you catch one! There are also Thai people fishing on the beach. You will probably eat in the restaurants on the beach road, as we do not have a restaurant yet. It is possible to have food and breakfast delivered. Cleaning is every second day. The resort is pet-friendly. You might expect eg. cats and dogs around. If you check in before 5 PM, there will be English speaking and experienced staff. After 5 PM you might experience the staff is more like a night watch, who get the basic information about your stay from the day staff. Tips: Park your bike before the national park entrance and walk along the beach for free. It is a fantastic place that you really will enjoy. The water is clean and inviting, but don't swim alone until you know the conditions, and don't let children swim alone. Use common sense. During November – February, sea turtles might come to lay their eggs on the beach in the night time.
