he Country Home is located at 800 m above sea level in Camberto: a Piedmontese mountain village of only a few traditional rural stone houses. It’s the quiet and the room for recovery and rest that gives this place it’s special charms – almost like spending some time in another world. Towels, dishtowels, and beddings are not provided in this house. The road leading towards the house is narrow and steep. The surroundings and the house are not barrier-free for wheelchairs and buggies. The space A warm welcome in Camberto! The former „Osteria degli Amici“ – „The Tavern of Friends“ is in the center of the little village, directly at the church square and offers are harmonic atmosphere and time for tranquil moments. Depending on your personal preferences you will experience a heavenly holiday. You can use the impressive mountain panorama for hikes in quaint nature, take a bath in refreshing mountain streams and the Lago Maggiore or just enjoy the silence and the peace of nature. The Rustico was completely refurbished in 2000 and offers everything you need for an untroubled holiday. Every bedroom leads to a separate balcony towards the south front, from which you have a beautiful view over the whole valley and the calming panorama. The kitchen on the ground floor opens up to a big terrace which invites for long breakfasts turning brunches, sunbaths and a relaxed afternoon with a good book and an even better glass of wine. The road to Camberto is very narrow and steep. Big cars can make it a challenging journey and is not the best for the faint-hearted. But cars (comparable with a Mercedes C-Class) and skilled drivers find reserved parking spaced in the little paradise waiting for them. The approach with public transportation is extremely complex and not recommended. A washing machine can be used after a short talk with us. It’s in the basement of the next door house (It’s accessible from the outside). Sadly we can’t provide towels, dishtowels, and beddings out of sanitary and housekeeping reasons.
