Sustainably + architecturally designed house with views over beautiful bushland in the charming beachside village of New Brighton. Wake up to sound of the waves crashing and the birds singing and be kept cool by the ocean breeze. 2 min stroll to the stunning beaches, creek, Salty Mangrove cafe, bottle shop and iconic general store + Farmers market. Perfect escape for a couple or small family to unwind while still being only 20 minutes from Byron Bay + 5 minutes from beautiful Brunswick Heads. The space The house is designed by local architect Buro Two just and built in 2015. Brand new master bedroom and ensuite bathroom extension finished 2022. The home faces North East, making the home beautifully light-filled whilst also catching the lovely ocean breezes (you can hear the ocean and frogs while you sleep). Sustainably designed, the building and windows have been positioned to take full advantage of the winter sun and the summer breezes eliminating the need of cooling or heating. This home was a true passion project for the both of us. It was important that everything was well designed and carefully crafted. My husband Marty who is a local furniture maker took it upon himself to make all windows, doors, cabinetry and most of the free standing pieces of furniture. We do live in this house, so you will find some belongings of ours throughout. We try our best to pack away most of our belongings so you can make the home your own. UpStairs inside features: - Fully equipped kitchen with an integrated Bosch dishwasher, 4 burner gas cook top, fisher paykel oven, 2x fully integrated liebher fridge and fridge/freezer, integrated pantry. The kitchen opens out onto the dining room and lounge room, with a 2 glass sliding doors that stack on each other and open up to the deck and the view of bushland and the courtyard. The lounge room has a Jardan Couch and new 2022 Sony Smart TV with Netflix, Disney and Stan! Sonos Speaker for music. Ceiling fan. Master bedroom Includes King Bed with custom bed frame and Koala Firm mattress. Built in custom robes and drawers. Large custom made sliding door which opens out onto bushland and view. Ceiling fan. Private Ensuite bathroom attached with bath, toilet, shower and custom cabinetry. Kids bedroom Situated next to kitchen, with a partition wall that has a 400mm gap to the ceiling. This is for air flow and light. Includes a set of single custom made plywood bunks. Both single mattresses are Koala. Option to have a portacot in here. Toy and book collection will be left for children. Mattresses are just single size and don’t fit a full size adult. Main Bathroom Large rain shower, toilet and custom made shaving cabinet and cabinetry below. Study Includes set of drawers and lounge. This room does not have a door and is between master bedroom and main bathroom. Upstairs Deck - Large covered deck equipped with a Webber BBQ, dining table + stools. Sit back, relax and listen to the ocean and the birds. Downstairs features: - Outdoor fireplace with concrete bench top for food prep. Fire grill to cook over the open fire. There will be firewood and kindling left, enough to have a few decent fires. -Outdoor hot and cold shower set amongst the trees after you have returned from the beach or river, a perfect place to rinse off. - Bathroom/laundry with washing machine and large rain shower. - Cubby house for the kids Parking 2 carport space underneath house, protected from weather. Ample parking on the street which is quiet IMPORTANT There is a one bedroom studio on our property which is completely seperate and private. It is occupied by a permanent tenant. If you like fine dining and cafe hopping like we do then there are some incredible spots close by. Our favourites are: New Brighton (200m) - Salty Mangrove. Chef David Moyle. Amazing coffee + bites. Lunch and wine menu, dinner and wine Fri and sat nights. Billinudgel (5 min drive) - Moonshine Coffee Roasters for a great drop of coffee locally. - Billinudgel pub, check out our iconic historical pub for lunch or dinner Brunswick Heads (5 min drive): The iconic Brunswick Heads Hotel is a must on a Sunday afternoon with live music and a rocking dance floor. Liliam Lair - home cooked food and tonics. Roco Ramen for the most incredible ramen and starters. Pink lotus - Vietnamese delicious food Lacasita Mexican for cocktails and fine food. We find it to be the perfect base to experience the hidden nooks and gems of the true Byron Bay Shire. Guest access Entire house and yard, outdoor fireplace. There is a 1 bedroom cabin at the front of the property which is occupied and lived in. This is completely separate and private, with no windows or doors facing the house and has its own private front yard. Other things to note This is a home to relax and unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings close by. There is a great outdoor fireplace, perfect to sit around whilst watching the stars!
