Welcome aboard Marigold Cottage. A homely cottage dating back to the 1800's converted from original barns and stables. Completely refurbished in 2021 with all modern requirements catered for. Hidden in a french styled courtyard in the outskirts of the rural village of West Down. With Woolacombe beach just 10 minutes away, Marigold really is a base to explore all that Nth Devon has to offer. With plenty of room to park your car in our large car park and grounds to explore for you and your pooch. The space Where we are positioned in North Devon, we are in easy reach of all top tourist attractions. 10 minutes from Woolacombe, the UK's top voted beach! 10 minutes from Ilfracombe, a victorian seaside harbour - currently home to award Centrally located to exmoor and the south west coastal path as well as Ilfracombe and Woolacombe Guest access Check in instructions will be messaged a day prior to your arrival. This will consist of: directions too and from the carpark and a master lock key code. Other things to note Something new! We are pleased to offer our guests a 10% discount on bookings aboard Kittiwake our family owned charter boat. We carry our trips along the North Devon coast and out to Lundy Island looking out for dolphins and our resident seals. Whilst we make our way along the coast we stop where can and remove plastic from our seas! When booking a stay at marigold cottage, we can arrange to take you on your very own beach clean, to some of North Devon's hidden beaches. This is a fantastic experience for us to meet you guys, our cottage guests, and a way to express the importance of looking after our natural environment. (Please note, this will be between the months of October and March... the stormy seasons!) Waterproof clothing, a sense of adventure and wellbeing is all you need to bring... A large, full sized tennis court is available for use of guests at Marigold Cottage and other neighbouring guests. Updated this season with a brand new tennis net and posts. Tennis rackets can be found in the communal games room should you wish to use it. A games room and communal area is also within the grounds of Fairview Farm including a pool table, ping pong table, games and sofas. Oh, and a dart board! Use of a laundry room is also available at a charge. Consisting of a washing machine, tumble dryer and an iron. However, these facilities are owned by the Farm House owner (Helen) and therefore arrangements will need to be made between yourself and Helen by knocking on her door. At Marigold Cottage we offer the use of wooden body boards, free of charge, to our guests. This is to try and stop the use of polystyrene boards, keeping our impact on the environment as low as possible. Now finally! We have large open fields within the grounds which are perfect for our four legged fury friends! All that we ask of our guests is that you keep them on the leads until you are in these designated areas, then let them run free!
