We walked the grounds of this place around 5 years ago when it was nothing and fell in love with it, the B&B has managed to replicate the experience exponentially with thousands we have hosted... We hope to host you soon :) Guest access The whole property is accessible, we have small sit outs and places wher you can dine and have you tea/coffee ....open wooden decks/ green patches ...sit under the trees. We ensure complete privacy and will make you feel at home. Other things to note The best thing to do here is to, yes, relax – not in front of the television though. From the comforts of your bed, you will find it hard to take your eyes off the mountains at a distance. Or else, you can curl up with the book you have been, for so long, trying to read in peace. When you step outside, you can either do nothing. And love it. Or you can: Go trekking: Walk downhill to the stream, or uphill to the village. Or hike through the orchards . You can even walk up to Tagore top and back in few hours. Trek guided by a local person also arranged on extra charges. Get to know the jungle: There are many scenic treks around our village. And once you have hit the steep dirt path, you will recognise the rewards that come with each bend. Weight loss, if any, will be just incidental. Lunch in the open: Enjoy the spread on one of the terraces outside the cottage, or take a picnic basket along. Bonfire: Warm up around the bonfire and grill your snacks on the flames lit right outside your room. Kids’ activities: Climbing up the mountain terraces will keep them busy most of the time. For the other moments, there are board games. Be a farmer: Try a hand at sowing seeds, plucking fruits and vegetables, or watering the plants. Go shopping for local goods: Take home the jams and preserves, the copperware, or the colourful weaves of Kumaon. Trips are organised to the local craftspersons’ houses where you can watch them at work. Experience village life and step cultivation: Take a close look at the way of living of the local people. Visit their houses, watch them milk cows, sow or harvest the seasonal crops, and taste local delicacies like Madwe ki roti and Bhatt ki dal. Many ‘forgotten’ practices are still alive here, like the ‘pan chakki’ (a grinding machine that runs on river current) nearby. Go sight-seeing: Visit the neighbouring tourist spots, including Mukteshwar (26 km), Nainital (25 km), Bhimtal (21 km), the paragliding centre at Naukuchiatal (12 km), Almora (60 km), Binsar (55 km), Kanchi dham (16km)and Jageshwar (125 km).
