Family Chalet with breathtaking mountain views

Wake up, open the curtains and gaze out at the incredible vista that is the Austrian alps; Haus Rheingold, with it’s incredible mountain views will steal your heart. Spread over 3 floors, our home can accommodate up to 10 people. Located a 5 minute walk away from the ski lifts, it’s the perfect refuge for exploring the surrounding areas both in the winter for skiing, and in the summer for incredible walks, mountain biking and a plethora of other activities. The space The minute you walk into Haus Rheingold, you’ll instantly feel at home. On the ground floor, as you walk in we have the entrance hall and a toilet. Going past the entrance hall (shoes off please), we have a fully stocked kitchen, with a traditional Austrian ‘kacheloven’ to keep you warm and cosy during the cold winter days and nights. Along with a table that can sit up to 10 at a squeeze. If you want more space for dining, why not move into the sitting room, where we have a bigger table that will easily accommodate more guests. The sitting room is where you can unwind after a long day of skiing or hiking. Light the fire, turn on the TV and take it easy. Or play some cards in front of the warm glow of the fireplace. Or if you need to get some work done, set yourself up on the sitting room table and try not to get distracted by the view down the valley. Going upstairs to the first floor, we have 4 bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower and bath. Working from right to left, we have a room with a queen sized bed with views across the field to the Austrian gothic chapel. Next, possible one of the biggest rooms in the house we have the king sized master bedroom with a walk in wardrobe with access to the balcony to savour those views we’ve been talking about! Next door, is another queen sized bed with an ensuite bathroom that has access to balcony. Finally, we have a small bedroom with a single bed. Going upstairs to the top floor, we have another king sized bedroom with a breath-taking view down the valley, as well as another bathroom. There is also another room that has two singles that can be pushed together if needed to form a double. The location itself is perfect, as mentioned previously you are a 5 minute walk to the ski lifts. 8 minute walk to the rental shops. We have a garage at the bottom of the house, so you won’t have to carry your ski stuff up to the hill! Or you can easily book a locker at the lifts for an even easier time. There are some great restaurants in the area, many within walking distance. Our favourite is just a 2 minute walk up the hill. Or further afield in Alpbach or Brixlegg which can be reached by public transport or car. Guest access Guests have access to the whole house apart from the basement apartment. This is where I (Max) live, it is accessed from a different entrance so you won't even know I am there. I will be onsite for any help or advice you may need during your stay should you want it! Other things to note There is a tourist tax that all visitors to Alpbach need to pay. This will be collected on site - The price for this is 3,50 per person per day.
