Fern Lodge: cosy with wood burning stove. Private garden, plenty of parking. Lots to do in the area. Close to 3 Counties Showground, Upton on Severn, Malvern, Worcester. 1hour: Cotswolds, Brecon Beacons, Forest of Dean and Wyre Forest. Tranquil rural retreat away from crowds but handy for lots of fun activities. Located at Broad Oak Trout Lakes. Enhanced cleaning protocol. Strict check-out to allow for full cleaning. The space Fern Lodge is one of two semi-detached lodges and was converted to wonderful warm and cosy accommodation for 2 people. It is ground floor space, only one wide step up into the lodge. It is semi-detached with sister property Forest Lodge. The Lodge is No Smoking inside, there is plenty of outside space for that. The open plan living area is furnished with a sofa and chairs, TV, a wood burning stove, dining area and well equipped kitchen area with cooker, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. One wall is a huge map of the local area, so you can easily plan your local walks. Wifi available but note that we are rural, don't expect city internet speeds. There is one bedroom with a double bed, drawer unit and wall hooks with hangers for your wardrobe. There is a good sized en-suite shower room with walk in shower WC and basin. You have your own outside space with outdoor furniture, a small fenced garden and veranda with BBQ for summer or winter al-fresco dining. There are spectacular views of the Malvern Hills, watch the sun set behind the hills. All rooms are heated with modern electric radiators to supplement the wood burning stove. A starter basket of logs will be provided, bring your own additional (small) logs or buy more from us at £5 per basket. There is washing up liquid, dish washer tabs, loo roll, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper to start you off, but not necessarily enough for your whole trip. Note: Fishing in the lakes is not included. Guest access The whole of Fern Lodge is yours for your stay, with a private veranda and garden with views of the Malvern Hills and our lakes. The obscured laundry store window does open out onto the back of your veranda but we it is permanently obscured and closed for your privacy. Parking is by the lodge in our car park area. Plenty of space. You are able to access the rest of Broad Oak, to walk around the lakes and new woodland. Children to be accompanied when out of Fern garden due to deep water, wildlife and livestock. We have two dogs on site. Fishing by permit(£) only, see fishery website for details. Other things to note The fishery is open to day ticket anglers (fly-fishing so no smelly water filled with bait) Tues-Sun. Anglers won't bother you, as they too have come for peace and tranquility and to get away from life's daily grind. The fishing is available to guests, at the usual rates. It is not free. Check out our website. WIFI is available in your lodge. No electric car charging point. You wouldn't expect us to fill up your petrol or diesel car, please don't expect us to foot the bill for recharging your car. Nearest ECP in Upton on Severn.
