Villa on private island Frisian lakes & boat.

Uniquely located villa on a private island in the middle of the Frisian lakes area. In less than 10 minutes, you can sail with our diesel boat to the Pikpôlle, which is located in the Âldhof lake. Around the house is a large terrace and grounds (2500m2) with two harbors and a T jetty with swimming ladder. Our diesel raft is included in the rent. Within half an hour's sailing, you can reach the Langweerder Wielen, Sneek or Heegermeer by boat. The large sailboat is for private use only. The space The "Pikpôlle" is a red cedar villa with plenty of space. There are 4 bedrooms with quality beds. A cozy living room with wood-burning stove and 3 French doors to a large wooden terrace around the house. There is a large ping pong table on the landing. Around the house is a large lawn with a goal, swings and a trampoline on request. There are 2 harbors and a T-jetty. In the early 1300s, there was a settlement here that was connected to the mainland. The name Âldhof refers to the cemetery that was there and of which remains have been found. Later, an island was created where a fisherman had a hut and dried his nets. During the war, there were draft dodgers. From 1970, it was given a recreational destination, the current vacation home was built in 2003. Note: More than 7 people will not be honored. Guest access You are welcome throughout the house. Of course, you have access to the steel diesel flatboat "M.S. Wabe," which is easy to sail and does not require a boating license. The SUP or the Optimist sailboat can be used in consultation. Note: the laser and the large sailboat are for private use only. Other things to note The house is not connected to a network. There is a so-called autonomous system (off-grid) which ensures luxury combined with sustainability. Using solar panels, the power is stored in a traction battery, and as a reserve, there is an automatically operating generator on hand. Water is sucked up and purified with a pump from a depth of 40 meters. In addition, there is separate drinking water. This guarantees a comfortable stay, but it does mean that energy must be used "somewhat sparingly". Due to the latter and the size of the boat, we have set the maximum at 6 people despite sufficient space in and around the house. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is excellent mobile reception.
