Description
This peaceful paradise is a 1920s cottage set in a large secluded magical garden. Bordered by only wild forest and two small creeks, and with views onto only mountains and trees, you'll feel like you have the whole valley to yourself. Cafes and shops are still an easy walk or bike ride away. The space The cottage is a pretty, sun-flooded space with a combination of historic character, huge windows and all the mod cons. It consists of three bedrooms (with beds for up to 6), a secluded sitting room with a fold-out double futon and an additional single folding bed. The master bedroom has floor-to-ceiling windows facing the mountain view, so you can commune with nature without getting out of bed! There is plenty of space to socialise; a living room with a gorgeous mountain view, a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor dining room and an outdoor deck (with dining table and BBQ) where you can sit back and watch the weather change on the mountain. The house is set in a stunning garden surrounded by two mountain creeks. We hope you'll agree that this paradise full of fruit trees and a vast variety of flowers, snaking paths and secret statues is an adventure for kids and adults alike! The garden is also full of wildlife from the nearby forest: as well as the choir of kookaburras, you'll hear the call of deer at the creek, see wombats shuffling in the undergrowth and meet the lorikeets that come to perch on the deck at dusk. Guest access The house is rented whole, so you'll have full access to all the spaces. Other things to note At this difficult time of pandemic we are enhancing our cleaning practice by disinfecting all essential surfaces with recommended hospital grade disinfectant. Most times we are flexible with check-in/out times. Please let us know if you would like to arrive earlier/depart later. We have 2 toboggans and 4 adult bikes that our guests are welcome to use (bring your own helmets). We do our best to maintain the bikes, but can not guarantee they are always in a good nick as we are not always able to check on them between the guests.
