Description
Little Nook is the separate detached barn annexe adjacent to our home, Three Nooks. In the distant past it used to be a chicken shed. There are no neighbours save for a herd of cows and it is a very peaceful, private place. Towards the rear is a hot tub, a small seating area and arbour with benches and a table. There are wonderful uninterrupted views across the fields from the balcony and a view down the driveway through the round window. Peace and quiet reign. SkySports, box sets and Netflix. The space 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 Firstly there is parking for one car in front of Little Nook. There is a second space which can be made available upon request. There is a small outside space down one side of Little Nook which is a real sun trap with an arbour for privacy and a table looking over the fields. This isn’t operational in the late autumn/winter months due to high winds. There is a second arbour at the back of the property that is in use all year round next to the hot tub. To the rear of Little Nook is a 4 seater hot tub with mood lighting. There are steps to climb into the hot tub. The hot tub is operational 365 days of the year and is always kept at 40 degrees. Th awning over the hot tub is not to be used in windy conditions and is only available to use in summer months. Little Nook is detached and very private. Coming through the front door you will arrive in a large hallway with a slate floor, a place to hang your coats and a huge ornate mirror. GROUND FLOOR Off the hall is the kitchen equipped with fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, air fryer, ironing board and iron, small bar stool table set for two. Tea, coffee and sugar are provided. There is plenty of crockery, cutlery and the kitchen is fully equipped for you to be able to cook meals. Also on the ground floor is the shower room. Towels are provided for your stay. UPSTAIRS The first floor runs the entire length of the property. It is huge and is completely open-plan. At one end there is a round window overlooking the tree lined winding driveway and this is ‘the bedroom area’ comprising of a double bed and two single beds. The middle section makes way for a dining table and chairs seating four. At the other end of Little Nook’s first floor is ‘the lounge area’. There are two large leather sofas, coffee table and the TV/DVD with Netflix, SkySports and SkyBoxsets. Down the winding, tree lined driveway is a little lane surrounded by fields. We are the only property on the lane. We are very accessible to other places. We are situated between two A roads so there are good route links. When you are outside you can hear some traffic noise but not when inside Little Nook as it is triple glazed. Guest access Little Nook is a totally separate, private space. We will leave Little Nook unlocked for you so you’re able to start your holiday straight away as if it’s a real home from home. If you need anything during your stay please feel free to phone, message us or knock on our door. Other things to note WI-FI Free reliable wi-fi throughout the property. CAR PARKING There is space for two cars in front of Little Nook. DOGS It is unfortunate that we no longer accept dogs at the property. HOT TUB DISCLAIMER : 1) industry guidelines recommend that no one under 16 use the hot tub. Hot tub is used at guests risk. 2) it is prohibited to wear fake tan in the hot tub. The use of this product causes the pump to seize and jets to clog and is visible the morning after use. Any damage or harm arising from breach of these restrictions lies with the guests not the owners and will be reported to Airbnb. 3) do not wear jewellery in the hot tub as the chemicals may tarnish. 4) Please note that the hot tub is surrounded by trees on one side therefore there is always some organic matter (leaves and tree bark) which fall into the tub. These are removed on a daily basis but if they enter the filter they are crushed and can go round the system and enter the tub again as sand. This will be more prevalent in the spring and autumn. 5) No glasses or glass bottles around the hot tub. There are plastic glasses in the kitchen. 6) the hot tub lifting mechanism is designed to assist guests and limit wear on the hot tub cover. Detailed instructions of how to use the lifter are found on the back of the front door, in the notes left on the coffee table but will be given to you verbally on your arrival. Please use this mechanism with care and a gentle touch. Damages to the lifter or hot tub rests with the guests. 7) please do not adjust the temperature of the hot tub or turn it down. It must remain constant at 40 degrees. 8) Please do hot turn the hot tub off. Many thanks
