Description
Extremely warm and cosy hut with double glazing and log burning stove. Situated in the heart of a forest, on a hill with views down to Loch Voil. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, writers, artists....anyone looking for peace and quiet and instant access to the great outdoors. To reach the cabin you will need to drive for 3 miles on a forestry track. It is rough and has plenty of potholes so is not for the unadventurous or for those with low slung sports cars. A 4x4 is not necessary. The space The location is well off the beaten track. Only for the adventurous and someone looking for something a bit different. The Cabin is in the Glen of Balquhidder which is the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The cabin is situated downhill from our house but the buildings are not directly looking onto one another so both buildings retain their privacy. The main window of the cabin looks out over the forest and loch. There is a large polytunnel and vegetable garden to the side of the cabin that we may occasionally be working in but this shouldn't interfere with your stay. The interior is simple - sofa, table, kitchen with free standing oven/hob & fridge, log burning stove, small bathroom with electric shower, small handbasin and WC. The bedroom has a small double bed with a few cupboards. The structure of the building is a static caravan which has been clad in wood, fitted with double glazing and furnished tastefully. There are electric heaters in addition to the wood burning stove. There is decking to the front of the cabin on which to enjoy the sunset. The cabin does not have a washing machine or dishwasher Guest access You’re free to roam! Other things to note There are animals on site - dogs, cats, hens. Cats are friendly and dogs are under control but worth knowing in case this is a problem for anyone.
