The space Discover a charming 35m² cottage nestled in the heart of old Colombiers, in a peaceful and typical pedestrian alley, just a stone’s throw from the Canal du Midi and near the Malpas tunnel and the dried-up Montady pond. Only 20 minutes by car from the sea and a short 10-minute walk from the CAUSSE clinic, this cottage promises an idyllic getaway. Colombiers, the first port on the Canal du Midi after the Fonseranes locks, is perfectly located to explore the treasures of Occitanie. Whether you are drawn to the coast and Valras-Plage or the inland wonders such as the Canal du Midi, Béziers, Narbonne, Minerve, Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, or the African reserve of Sigean, everything is within reach. The port of Colombiers opens the door to a multitude of tourist activities: rent a boat without a license, stroll along the canal, or indulge in a gastronomic and musical cruise. The heart of the village is full of shops and services, all accessible within a 5-minute walk from the cottage. Bars and restaurants like the Bistro de Colombiers, Le Lavoir, La Montagne, Newport, La Passerelle, and the wine and tapas bar at Lolo’s await you for convivial moments. You will also find a bakery, a florist, a butcher, a tobacconist, a fishmonger, and our new Carrefour Express, where a warm welcome and quality products are guaranteed. Health services are also available with the Jean Causse clinic, a pharmacy, dentists, home nurses, opticians, and physiotherapists. For sports enthusiasts, the village offers tennis courts, a City Park, pétanque courts, football fields, as well as parks and gardens for children. Events are frequently organized by the municipality, Newport, La Montagne, and various local associations. And if you feel like gliding on the water, Sunboat is there for you! It consists of a cozy bedroom with a large 160X200cm bed and a spacious dressing room to store your belongings. The bathroom is equipped with a 90cm shower, toilet, cupboard, and a sink with a mirror, not to mention essentials such as a hairdryer, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, washing machine, and drying rack for your laundry. The living room is an open and welcoming space, with a kitchen equipped with everything you need (ceramic hob with oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, griddle…) to prepare and enjoy your meals. You can relax on the sofa bed, enjoy the table with chairs for dining or working, and entertain yourself with the TNT TV. Free Wi-Fi is provided to stay connected at all times. For your comfort, the cottage is air-conditioned. It is designed to accommodate up to four people with its two comfortable beds. And if you are traveling with a baby, we can provide a travel cot upon request. We would like to point out that our cottage is a non-smoking area and has been designed to be accessible and convenient for people with reduced mobility. Rates: From October 1st to May 15th: €330 per week From May 15th to September 31st: €525 per week.
