The Oat Box Converted Horsebox North Coast Ireland
Description
Set on private farmland on an elevated site, The oat box provides a luxurious haven of peace and tranquility to escape from the world for a little while. Our 1968 Bedford TK Horse Lorry has been lovingly converted into guest accommodation for 2 adults using repurposed materials to create a cosy, welcoming hideaway. It is the perfect base to explore the panoramic North Coast of Ireland with its many tourist attractions. There are a great selection of restaurants and quality coffee shops nearby. The space The Oat Box is a lovingly restored 1968 Bedford TK Horsebox. The use of repurposed materials and original mahogany floor and ceiling make it a warm, cosy and inviting place to stay. We have decorated and furnished it as we would want it to be for our own little hideaway and hope you will appreciate all the attention to detail, vintage collections and love that have been poured into this little space. The shower room is located inside the Horsebox, so no need to dash out in the dark or rain! The full size shower is electric and hot water is provided via a water heater for the taps. Guest access You will have the entire Horsebox plus a dedicated outdoor space to yourselves during your stay. The Lorry is parked in a green field and we encourage you to walk to the top of the hill to take in views as far as Mussenden and Inishowen on a clear day! There is a small balcony with table and chairs and it is positioned perfectly to watch the sunset while sipping a favourite drink! Other things to note The Horsebox is equipped with a 2 ring electric stove and small oven and also a woodburning cook stove. We supply logs to you included in the price. There is a fire pit and seating in the outdoor space, logs are also provided for this. Towels and bedlinen are supplied as well as tea and coffee, cooking equipment and crockery.
