Downstairs are a Double bedroom and Twin bedroom, sharing a family bathroom. The space Self Catering house in the heart of nature. Surrounded by forest, lagoon and just 75 metres from the pristine beach of Nature's Valley, Nectar Cottage is located inside the Garden Route National Park and Tsitsikamma Forest. The Pearl of the Garden Route! A spacious house with a large private garden, Nectar is a long time favourite with families, wedding parties and honeymooners. Nectar has 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 double, 2 twins), 2.5 bathrooms, a warm outside shower and large braai/BBQ area. It has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, wireless internet, an open fireplace and those extra touches to make you feel at home. 250m from the house is a shop and restaurant that is open 365 days a year. Nature's Valley offers some of the best hiking in South Africa, including the famous Otter Trail which ends in Nature's Valley, as well as lots of day trips for the fit and less fit. Canoeing, birding, swimming, fishing, whale and dolphin watching can all be enjoyed just a minute's walk from Nectar Cottage garden. Within a range of about 20km you will find the Elephant Sanctuary, Monkey Land, Birds of Eden and Tenikwa Animal Sanctuary. Or you can enjoy kayaking, horse riding, cycling, golfing, diving, sailing, cruising, paragliding, parasailing, micro-lighting, abseiling and bungee jumping - the highest in the world! Drive a bit further and you will find Buffalo Hills Game Farm, Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary, the Butterfly Sanctuary, Forest Ferns, Shamwari Game Reserve with the Big 5, and the Wolf Sanctuary. Guest Access: A fully-equipped house (with fabulous kitchen, dishwasher, full laundry and water-filtered drinking tap) plus an unusually large garden (BBQ, games, flowers and trees). Because Nature's Valley is located in a South African National Park, expect to see buck, wild pig, monkeys and exotic birds in the garden. A 1-minute walk will bring you to one of South Africa's most unspoilt beaches. From here there are countless exciting walks, the most well known being the famous Otter Trail. Other things to note: Please do keep doors locked when away as baboons do occasionally break in, steal food and make a big mess. We have recently appointed a new Internet company which is much more reliable so Internet should be available 24/7 at reasonable speeds. Other things to note As a self-catering cottage, we provide only basic amenities such as dishwashing liquid, dishwasher cubes, toilet paper, soap etc for your first couple of days stay. Thereafter you will need to resupply yourselves from the nearby shop (a few minutes walk away) or from the supermarkets of Plettenberg Bay. If you encounter any issues such as blown light bulbs during your stay, there are replacements in the cupboard or else please contact your Manageress Elma and she will fit the replacement.
