The Annex

We are situated just outside the picturesque village of Bagnall. We are a 25 minute drive from Alton Towers, 20 minutes from the market town of Leek and 20 minutes from the Potteries. The annex is a self contained building standing next to our home. It has a fully equipped kitchen complete with a washing machine. We have a number of animals sharing our lives, most of whom are very happy to welcome visitors. The space The annex offers a modern comfortable living space. As you step into the building you enter the fully equipped kitchen, complete with washing machine. Downstairs there is a seating area/bedroom comprising of a single bed with a truckle, a table and 4 chairs. There are French windows that open onto a private patio with table and chairs. The shower room, WC and hand basin is accessed from this room downstairs. Accessed from a small stair case, you will find the main bedroom containing a standard double bed with 2 bed side tables and lamps. A sofa, easy chair and TV. We offer a complimentary selection of breakfast cereals, coffee, tea, sugar and one bottle of milk for your arrival. We are happy to introduce our animals to our guests. The ponies and Gareth are either in the field next to The Annex or a 5 minute walk up the road to their other field. We cannot determine their location in advance as it is dependent on weather, food availability and ailments. The birds, sheep, dogs and cats are always on the immediate premises. Guest access There is a range of books and wildlife magazines to help you make your stay more entertaining. The annex is not over looked and sits in a rural setting overlooking countryside and open land. There are many country walks in the local area of which Julia or Arnie will gladly point you in the right direction (or are able to organise the search party if you are not back before dark). At the back of the property we have an outside area where guests are welcome to sit and chat to the chickens, cats, geese and rabbit, and of course the ponies if they are around. Please note that we do have WiFi but we are remote and we have no high speed fibre connection, so it may not be what you are used to. Other things to note Our location is rural with all local amenities no more than a 15 minute drive. There are several local good food and drink establishments offering a wide range of cuisine and real ales. We would be more than happy to make a reservation on your behalf. We have a lot of animals.
