The Golden Lotus Bungalow sits quietly on a small hillside, right where the jungle meets a lush paddy field. The terrace places you right into the treetop canopy – where monkeys swing by and tropical birds call from above. You’re just above Unawatuna Beach – far enough to enjoy the peace, yet close enough to jump into the golden sandy beaches. From your privat terrace, you might spot a troop of monkeys swinging through the trees at dawn or dusk, vibrant tropical birds flashing their yellow, red, and blue feathers, playful squirrels darting past – and even the occasional porcupine foraging below. THE BUNGALOW The Golden Lotus Bungalow is a recent build, thoughtfully finished with antique pieces and locally sourced, reclaimed materials. You’ll enjoy the comfort of a modern boutique stay – with subtle design details that reflect the rich history and architecture of Sri Lanka. Other things to note Please note that we are a small boutique jungle stay with only a few rooms, so some services (such as dinner, massages or excursions) are available by prior arrangement only.
