Mollands Cottage, secluded rural retreat with pool
Mollands Cottage, secluded rural retreat with pool
Description
Relax and unwind surrounded by beautiful, unspoilt wildflower meadows. Wake up refreshed in a quirky, stone built converted dairy, ready for a day soaking up stunning countryside views while enjoying the pool and hot tub. Or head out to wander the local farmers markets. At night, cook on an open fire and be blown away by the stars in some of the darkest skies in England. Self check-in available and we always look forward to hosting great people. The space Mollands Cottage is a traditional stone-built dairy repurposed as a pretty cottage. The first floor is set out as a modern loft-style combined bedroom and living studio that is perfect for relaxing. Downstairs is a combined kitchen and dining room, bathroom and a cosy sitting room for snuggling up to the woodburner on those colder nights. There is an outdoor cooking area with a BBQ and Fire Pit, as well as a swimming pool and hot tub / spa. Guest access Mollands is secluded. It is at the end of half a mile of private drive that is perfect for cars and vans, but not for anything larger. There is a railway station within a couple of miles, and we are well connected to local footpaths and bridleways. Other things to note If you like nature, wildflowers, beautiful rural views, and dark skies brilliant will stars, then Mollands is perfect for you. We love dogs and will welcome your well behaved pet. But please don't leave your dog alone in the cottage as they often get distressed in a strange environment - take them with you to the pub instead. Mollands is a working farm, or is getting that way. There may tractors around if we are making hay, and we might be working with our animals in the fields. Please stay away from machinery. We do not offer you exclusive use of the hot tub and pool. We may occasionally want to use it ourselves after a hard day on the farm. But we will try to keep out of your way (except when we are cleaning the pool) and to give you priority. The energy price hike of the last year or so means that we have to charge extra for the hot tub: it costs over £50 to heat it up, so if you would like us to prepare the spa for you, we will need to charge.
