Description
Studio, ground level with separate entrance and integrated kitchen-living room, about 25 m². Private shower and toilet. With seating in front of the studio. The studio is equipped with satellite TV, CD radio and free Wi-Fi. The Höpflhof is a completely newly renovated, but centuries-old and historic farmstead. It is located in the southern part of the Bavarian Forest in the municipality of Neureichenau-Altreichenau on the well-known border triangle of Bavaria, Bohemia and Austria. The space "The treasure cave" 1-room apartment, ground floor with separate entrance The exposed granite stones on the windows and the Prussian vault make you feel like you are in a cave in this former stable of the farmstead and now ground-level apartment. The large bed by Toni Menacher with conical feet and balls as a finish, made of local spruce wood, and the farmer's cabinet with beautiful flower motifs and sacred elements from the second half of the 19th century, convey the lightness of the civil movement of the time. Also handcrafted by Menacher himself is the small dining set, for which the sign circle in the square was incorporated in the middle of the table top. The wing chair from the Worpswede artists' colony also invites you to relax extensively. The well-known artistic community sought the simple, the elementary in art and life. The image of the cross in the treasure cave was a design drawing for the Benedictine Abbey in Missouri. A former priest had chosen it there. The original crafted cross hangs in Maria Einsiedel near Zurich. In addition to the beautiful shower and toilet, the bathroom also has other hidden treasures to offer. The tiles come from Villa Tomas in Munich. The former owner of the villa had to travel to Italy to find these tiles. They were only available in sky blue and jade green. The lamp dates from the 19th century and also conveys the charm of the bourgeois movement. Guest access Accessible to all guests: The Bauernstube The farmhouse parlor on the ground floor, used as a common and breakfast room, has always been the place for socializing. This is where you come together. The armchair stove with original Art Nouveau attachment and surrounding bench, as well as the massive farmer's table, still date back to the original time of the farm. In the large open kitchen with a brick stove, you can spend cozy hours in pleasant warmth, especially on cold winter days. The Art Gallery The old historic, central corridor of the farmstead. On the way from the apartments to the farmhouse and to the back door in neo-Gothic style A collection of Christian, sacred and folk art from the 18th to the 20th century can be seen with stylish lighting. The beautiful Madonna from Franconia and the gilded baroque mirror over central German baroque, impressive oak chests are very attractive not only for art connoisseurs. Modern works by artist Toni Menacher himself also enrich the art gallery. And a little hidden here is the small door to the granite wine cellar. From time to time, wine evenings with bacon and cheese and a selection of fine wines for tasting take place down there. The cottage garden Many works of art are also hidden in the cottage and herb garden of the Künstlerhof. In addition to the beautifully landscaped terraces in the garden, which preserve the original garden, the old spring fountain is located slightly across from the entrance door to the farmhouse and art gallery. Everyone will find a quiet place in this cottage garden, can breathe on sun loungers, can be alone, read, sunbathe... Then directly the old bakery. Behind the bakery is the ruin of the old village schoolhouse of Altreichenau. The planted salads and herbs can be harvested by the guests and used for personal culinary delights in the apartment. If you take a little stroll through the cottage garden, you will find all kinds of works of art that have found their place there over the years. – The lantern from Alsace, or the stone relief "The Gazelles", the portraits made of stone, the marble column that bears the name "Mathematics 2", or the male nude, and so on. As with all works of art, whether in the garden or in the house: Toni Menacher knows the respective story, often has a wide variety of backgrounds to tell. Just ask him. During your stay I live and work in the Höpflhof and am always available to help.
