Sun View Cafe is a two-hour hike up from the town of Manikaran, nestled in the higher reaches of the Parvati Valley's Gargi village. The village is lush, the air is pure, and Teku, the owner of this beautiful mountain cabin, is going to make sure your mountain experience is unique and life-changing. Trekking, drawing, reading, or just relaxing, we cater to all your needs. The space This mountain cabin is built with old Himalayan techniques fused with modern day amenities like Western Style toilet, Hot Shower, Laundry on-site, a fully-functioning restaurant, and clean, spacious rooms, and wifi. Guest access Apart from the private room, shared bathroom and toilet, guests can enjoy the common room, where different guests meet each other and conversations flow. During your stay It is your choice to interact with Teku, the owner, or other guests, but I highly recommend you do. Ask Teku to tell you stories of older times. Maybe ask him about the origin of the Village of Gargi. Other things to note You will have to hike up from Manikaran for about 2 hours through a scenic mountain trail to get to Gargi. Signs on the way will guide you, and you can ask any local about the village of Gargi, and they will point you in the right direction. The trek begins at the Iron Bridge in Manikaran Bus Stand. You can pro your car at the Gurudwara Parking Ramp for free and hike up. We also arrange for guided tours to the cabin from Manikaran at an additional cost of Rs. 400. Porters are also available.
