The Haven is a fully furnished four-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse in a safe gated community. The neighborhood, East Legon, Accra, is residential and peaceful. It is a stone’s throw away from the airport, food and entertainment venues. The home is modern with clean architectural lines and sophisticated finishes and offers a private backyard and access to a swimming pool for relaxation. Whether staying with family, friends or co-workers, you will love this haven of modern living. Akwaaba! The Haven has a fully equipped kitchen, and a storage room with ironing board and iron. There is WI-FI and cable TV (DSTV) available. The house has its own car port and a private backyard garden for relaxing. It also offers the use of a shared swimming pool and a communal garden for children, 24-hour security, water supply backup and an electricity backup generator. Help yourself to our welcome package of necessities for your first few days. There is a little supermarket right across the street should you run out of anything. We look forward to hosting you. Guest access Check-in is after 2pm. Check-out is at 12 noon. However, advance notice will be helpful for a flexible check-in and checkout time. A few tips regarding your stay: Internet Usage Sufficient internet has been provided for your stay. Large files and movies should not be downloaded due to bandwidth limits. However, guests may purchase additional internet at their discretion and expense. Electricity Kindly TURN OFF any appliances or switches when not in use, especially air conditioners and water heaters to conserve energy. Ample electricity has been provided, however, if exhausted due to negligence (leaving appliances on, etc.), replenishment will be arranged at guests’ expense. Security Security personnel at the gate must be given prior notice of any visitors expected. This is to ensure the safety of the entire community. Also, both the front door and back door leading to the garden must be locked when going out. Noise Please be mindful of others in the community, and do not make excessive noise. Cleaning Cleaning of the entire interior of the house can be arranged (usually once or twice a week) at a small fee of $25 per cleaning session. Food There are plenty of restaurants nearby including restaurants that do deliveries. Lastly, Alfy's home is her pride and joy so please keep the house clean and tidy. Any damage, loss, or breakages must be reported immediately to Alfy and an appropriate fee will be charged accordingly. Thank you for being wonderful guests, enjoy your stay. The entire townhouse, the shared pool and the communal garden area Alfy, your hostess, is a bubbly and friendly retiree who loves hosting. She will usually meet you and hand over the key to the house, answer all your questions, show you around the house and its environs, and then leave you to enjoy your stay. But if there is a need to call her, please do not hesitate, she is always available, just a phone call away or you can send her a text message as well. The East Legon neighborhood is central to several landmarks and is conveniently located ~15 mins away from the Kotoka International Airport. It is close to the Accra Mall -Tetteh Quarshie and the A&C Mall - East Legon which offer a wide variety of shopping options (e.g. grocery, clothing, movie theater, fast food, restaurants, night life, banks, Forex bureaus, pharmacies etc.). It is close to major hubs in Accra such as Airport City (nightlife, hotels, restaurants), University of Ghana - Legon, etc. The gated community is easily accessible by Uber and is close to local transportation hubs (access to taxis and local buses - tro tro) There is a hot water heater in a cupboard on the left hand side on the topmost floor. Turn it on about 10 min before use and turn it OFF after use. The switch is up in the cupboard and a reach stick for turning it on and off is in there. All A/cs have a switch beneath it on the wall which must be switched on before using the a/c remote to turn it on. Both the heater and A/c s are high power consumers so please switch them OFF when not in use. Thank you
