The Chur is a beautiful fully detached cozy 300+ year old cottage in central Stroud, with 2 great receptions with fireplaces - a lovely central but peaceful spot, deceptively roomy and tasteful. We are a gentle 10 minutes walk from the famous Stroud Farmers Market and lots of great independent shops & restaurants. Also Waitrose is conveniently just down the hill. The Stroud mainline station, is right there, just 10 mins stroll away. No transport is required unusually for this area The space The new Shaker kitchen with huge skylight has Smeg & Fisher Paykel fittings, and kitchen island for lazy brunches. All mod cons like microwave, toaster, washer dryer and dishwasher are new and ready for you. The cooks will enjoy the le creuset, John Lewis and habitat kitchenware. The bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are well spread over 2 higher floors with 2 kings and a twin/super king (as you prefer) with a full pull out single under. The bedding is 100% cotton and high quality. There is plenty of wood for the wood burner and open fire in the outside woodshed. And the small study is a great tucked away space. Other things to note The cottage is old and a bit higgledy piggldy with quite steep stairs. We put in underfloor-heating to keep those flagstones and your toes warm!
