Looking for silence and Nature? Welcome to my home. I offer you a lovely private room for two in the medieval village of Monteveglio, in an old restored house, half an hour from Bologna or Modena. Glorious view of the Apenine hills from the window and from the large terrace. Special homemade breakfast you will enjoy on the sunny terrace in the morning (home made bread and jams). Elegant furnisings, washing machine in modern bathroom shared with host, and large private garden to lie in the sun. The house has a large private garden where you may rest or lie in the sun. The room is a quiet room, surrounded by nature, and you would be staying in a genuinely Italian household ! Monteveglio is a half hour car ride to Bologna and Modena, and a day trip to Parma, Venice, Ferrara, Ravenna, Siena and Florence. A great place to stop in for an interesting journey around the north part of Italy. In the Middle Ages, the original Monteveglio was a small village surrounded by walls. What remains today are the old gate to the castello, the beautiful 1100 a.d. abbey and monastery, and some parts of the guard towers. About fifteen families live now in the village.
