Fanny’s Dilemma was built in 1715. The original part of the house is hugely atmospheric with original panelling and fireplaces, steeped in the smuggling history of Deal. The cosy winter parlour and dining room are truly delightful. The airy room at the back of the house has evolved and is now a modern kitchen/family room. Renovated in 2021, it has vaulted ceilings and access to the garden The 4th bd rm in the basement down steep stairs and has a small 4ft double bed and private shower room. The space The house is a loved home with quality furnishings and quirky art. Ground floor: hallway, winter parlour, dining room, kitchen/family room, sunny garden. First floor: master bedroom with queen sized four poster bed. Vast, newly refurbished bathroom with walk in shower, double bath, double basins and vanity area. Second floor: attic bedroom with queen sized bed and further (standard) double bedroom. Interconnecting bathroom. Although wide, the stairs are moderately steep. Not suitable for children 1-8 yrs. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, as listed Other things to note We request an open and informative message of introduction and are more likely to accept your booking if this is supplied. All adult members of your party must be added to your booking (and will need a verified Airbnb account to do this) The staircase is wide and circular but not suitable for the young children or guests with mobility issues. We have external cctv at the front of the house and in the back garden. This is generally turned off unless an issue arises or for check-in and check-out. The house is over 300 years old and, as such, parts of it are fragile. Please be gentle with it and remind all members of your party to do the same.
