Chalet Turbina was originally built as a staff house for the Gornergrat Bahn hydroelectric power station. Since its renovation in 2018, it offers the ideal accommodation for groups or individual guests. The chalet is a lodge style accommodation that offers bunkbed rooms with shared communal spaces and bathrooms. The simple but modern interior offers comfort and the view of the Matterhorn is unique. The space The chalet offers a total of 6 rooms with either 2 or 4 beds. The rooms are equipped with lockable wardrobes, individual bed lamps & bed curtains for more privacy. There is a bathroom with WC and shower on both the ground and upper floors. A further 3 showers and 2 WCs are located in the basement. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, 6 induction hobs, two large fridges and a high-performance dishwasher. The dining area offers space for all residents. The best retreat and comfortable place to relax is the loft with sitting area, TV, reading corner and small library. A unique view of the Matterhorn can be enjoyed on the terrace - quiet and close to nature. Skis can be stored in the large ski room in the basement. The ski boot dryers ensure comfort the next day on the snow. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available and can be easily activated in the laundry room using the coin-operated machine. Guest access Guests can access all communal areas as well as their allocated bedroom. Other things to note We run our own ski and snowboard school called Stoked Snowsports School.
