La Petriola is an eighteenth-century stone farmhouse nestled in the hills surrounding the Gubbio plain in Umbria, the "Green Heart of Italy". It is located in the town of Montanaldo a 15-minute drive from the center of the Medieval town of Gubbio. The location is ideal for those who want nature and calm with family or friends. New! For those who want to enjoy local cuisine or spend a day in the pool, we have agreements with a restaurant nearby! The space Located in the Umbrian hills close to the beautiful medieval city of Gubbio, la Petriola is an ideal accommodation for those who fancy an intimate experience with the open countryside together with family or friends. La Petriola, a 19th century house completely restructured, is situated in a large property surrounded by green and calm. At the Petriola, you can have a break from your day-to-day life, enjoy the nature and reconnect with yourself. We would also be more than happy to share time with you if you want some company for a walk, or some group activities like darts or boules games, or even cooking if you wish. We are happy to welcome children in our house and they are free to enjoy all the outdoor space. Guest access La Petriola offers the guests an entire and private space of 100 square meters on the first floor of the big stone house including: • One fully furnished kitchen with everything you need to cook, even the largest meals. Guests can use all the household utensils (pots, plates, glasses and cutlery). The kitchen also includes a fridge, gas stove, oven, and an antic fireplace. We also provide the basic condiments for cooking (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar…) • Two big bedrooms each with a queen size bed, a single bed, dressers, cupboard and hangers. • One fully equipped bathroom including a shower, a washbasin, a bidet, and a toilet. Outside, you can enjoy the garden, an olive tree field, a kitchen garden, a henhouse and a panoramic view of the valley. During the summer season, we can provide a small swimming pool to help you to cope with the hot days. Other things to note In our house, we speak Italian, French, English and German.
