Clonlee Farm Manor....Take a step back in time...1769was the date on coins we retrieved in the wall of this fully functional home (and Stone Barn) that could have existed for many years prior. Surrounded by stunning panoramic views of lush green paddocks with 200 year old beach trees, your mornings will be inspirational, your afternoon walks on the country roads bursting with nature that will entertain you with the inquisitive animals, and your evening sunsets will make unforgettable memories. The space Clonlee Farm Manor offers a peaceful and restful get-away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Rest your bones in the countryside with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets overlooking the rolling hills. Grab your boots and take a stroll through the fields; but be sure to say hello and feel free to bring carrots to our land-keepers Dolly & Cash (our donkeys). Start your morning off with yoga and horseback riding at Sleive Aughty. Follow the trails and explore Kylebrack Woods; home to many beautiful birds. Book a tasting up the road with our local award-winning chocolate factory, Ivy House Chocolates or a tour of Kylemore Farmhouse Cheese. Wash it down with a pint of the finest stout at the local Pub. Venture into Galway City for the Galway Races, shopping, and restaurants. Other activities include: Loughrea Lake (11 km), Galway City (58 km), local grocery store (5 km), Pallas Karting & Paintball (6 km), Shannon Airport (80 km). We found coins in the Clonlee Farm Manor that date back to 1763 so it a fully functional home at that time and no one knows for how long prior. (Included are pictures of the coins) We exposed the the original old beams where the hooks still remain to hang the gun and the salted bacon. We also restored the original interior doors and floorboards. The original flooring were fastened with handmade steel brads (before nails) and the spacing between them increases and decreases depending on the humidity. We included some of the expected creature comforts like; Flat screen smart TV with BOSE sound system (Bluetooth compatible) over the fireplace makes for a cozy evening in. Coffee/Tea, fresh linens, and towels will be provided. Guest access You have access to the entire house except for an unoccupied 2nd bedroom that contains our personal belongings....We will NEVER offer our home for rent when we occupy, your privacy and discretion is totally respected. There is a common access through an electronic gate to a 2nd house that is also rented through Airbnb called Clonlee Farm House. We also offer the occupants (when occupied) the use of the front Garden/Patio. This arrangement can be beneficial if you want an option to bring additional family and friends Other things to note If you want additional space for your family or friends, our other home across the yard (Clonlee Farm House) has 4 bedrooms that sleeps 8 and can be the perfect place to host a family reunion.
